I was treated to burger heaven hiding in plain site in Lawrence, KS. Bigg’s BBQ has a burger joint, Bigg’s Burgers and ohmergawd, these burgers are something ya have GOT to partake in.
I got the Jay Hog which is a 50/50 grind of bacon (yes bacon) and beef, American cheese, grilled onion, bacon topped with a bacon dijonaiise sauce which should have been enough for most. In this case, I’ve been to Biggs BBQ and know how righteous their pulled pork is, so of course I had to special order pulled pork on top of this glorious combo…it.was.perfect! So maybe next time I’ll add pickles to the mix but it’s so dang awesome as is with that smoky pulled pork. Such a great burger. This is one of those places that when somebody asks “gosh, where do you go to get a truly great burger?”…yeah this is the place ya tell them to go.
The onion rings! These are the lightly breaded homemade style that our grandma’s used to make up on a summer Sat afternoon to have with grilled burgers. Delicious onion rings, one of the best imo.
Fries are very similar to places like 5 Guys, pretty sure they are fresh cut, sure have the same fresh but crunchy texture, not greasy at all and the sweet potato fries are delicious as well
Oh and if you notice the menu/order counter pic, yes that is an ice cream counter as well for hand dipped shakes and sundaes . Love this place!

I am Celiac, and have struggled so long with finding a place that actually cares about keeping food safe for people like me. I cannot recommend Biggs enough for gluten free sufferers! Biggs offers gluten free buns, gluten free chicken tenders(!!!) and several gluten free sides (fries, sweet potato fries, tots, and others). They cook their fries and tenders in a separate, gluten free fryer. This was such a special experience!! I would highly recommend, it’s DELICIOUS.

Burgers here are next level! I got the Jay Hog and my girlfriend got the California and they were awesome. The fries that come with taste great too. Having Tabasco for anyone to use is also a great touch. 10/10

I had the cheeseburger combo with fries (no salt/seasoning) and a coffee shake, and my boyfriend had the spicy grilled chicken sandwich combo with fries and onion rings. We both agreed our meals were very good and worth the price. Hamburger was fresh ground also. We would definitely go back. The Womens bathroom was clean.

They have gluten free buns and a dedicated gluten free fryer for French fries. The staff is very knowledgeable about celiacs and I have so far not had problems with Celtic contamination. Highly recommend.

First time eating here and I will say it was the best burger I’ve had outta Lawrence!! Staff were friendly and patient as we looked over the menu!! Will definitely be going back to try more of the menu!!

Great burger and fries place. You order at counter, get a number and they bring out your meal. If you order combo you get fries and a fountain drink fo just under $10. They also have several flavors of icecream for desert. Along with a place to sit outside. For price/value it is way better than McDonald’s.

It was the first time I was there. Ask what was included in a combo, I was told several items I ordered an item that was clerk listed. The meal was $1.00 more than on the order board. We had 2 other meals that rang up a penny more than on the order board. When I asked the manager about this I was told onion rings is an dollar up charge. No where on the menu board did I see this information. I explained it was our first time there and when I asked what was included the clerk didn’t tell us. Manager said he would talk to the clerk. When I asked about the over charge of a penny on the other 2 meals he stated he could give me the 2 cents back. Never said he would talk about looking into correcting the overcharge. So, if they are overcharging everyone for their meals, can you call that fraud? Not sure if I will be going back. Pork tenderloin was good. Onion rings… I’ve had better wasn’t worth the upcharge as I trashed over half of them they had no flavor and were greasy. Check your receipts.
