My husband and I absolutely love The Getaway Car! It’s become one of our go-to spots, not just for a great dinner out but also for special events. We’ve attended a couple of events there and were blown away by the atmosphere, creativity, and overall experience. They really know how to make a night feel special.
The regular dining experience is just as impressive. The food is consistently delicious—fresh, flavorful, and always beautifully presented. You can tell the team takes real pride in what they do. The menu offers a great mix of comfort and innovation, and we’ve never had a dish we didn’t love.
On top of that, the staff is warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. It’s clear they care about making every guest feel at home.
If you haven’t been yet, you’re missing out. The Getaway Car is a true gem, and we’ll keep coming back again and again.

Had dinner at a great new place in Mt.Kisco on Sunday night. The menu is varied, the service is prompt and the food was delicious. Cocktails were expertly prepared. I highly recommend the fresh taco salad. The Pig and Fig Flatbread was so tasty!
If you want a nice weekend brunch, this is the place. Family friendly with a caring staff.
Today, Sunday, we returned to The Getaway Car for brunch. Once again, spectacular! Pictures don’t tell the whole story. French Onion Soup Bombs, Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Fried Chicken Sandwich with a delicate buttery crust a Quinoa Shrimp Bowl and Bloody Marias made with tequila.
Soooo delicious!

It really takes a lot for me to leave such a poor review, but I will never be back to this restaurant. After being seated, it took over 10 minutes before we had to get up and ask our server to take our order. Mind you there were currently only 2 other parties seated in the restaurant at the time a party of 2 and a party of 5. After placing our order he came back to tell me that they didn’t have any more wings. Fine not the end of the world. We ordered 3 apps, 1 salad and 2 sandwiches (family of 4 with two younger kids). Note that they did not have a separate kids menu, but some of the apps were basically kids menu items. We ordered the Mac and cheese with cornbread, artichoke spinach dumplings, chicken fingers and fries, a Caesar salad, the getaway burger and the Miami vice (essentially their Cuban). It took another 25 – 30 minutes before I had to get up and ask where our food was. Our server said it was almost ready, and then I asked to have whatever was ready to be sent out and that they didn’t have to wait for it all to be done, as our kids were getting impatient. At this point the other two parties were already served food, so I really don’t know what took so long. Food came out. Most of everything was ok. Nothing amazing. Chicken fingers and Mac and cheese were solid. So was the burger and the cuban. The fries were under salted, the salad had way too much dressing (I forgot to ask for the dressing on the side). And the artichoke dumplings were quite gross (the cheese on top wasn’t even melted properly). While the food was ok, for the price of the meal it was not worth it. The burger was essentially the same as a double burger from bare burger down the street, which I would have preferred, price aside (as this didn’t even come with lettuce, tomatoes or anything, only pickles, onions (which were supposed to be grilled but were not) and sauce. The chicken fingers while solid, only had 4 small pieces. While the food was not amazing I would have accepted that maybe we didn’t order the right things for us, but the lack of service really made the experience unbearable, especially since the restaurant was not crowded at all…..

OMG! I found this gem in Mt. Kisco!
We had fried pickles, taco salad, wings and the gataway car smash burger. All of them were very good…. Taco salad had a lot of flavors and even the taco shell was really crispy and tasty. I also loved the fried pickles! They were so crunchy.
The owner was very friendly and had very good hospitality. He made sure everybody’s drink was full and the food came out quickly.
I will definitely come back here soon!

This place is a gem. Definitely a must if you’re in Mt. Kisco. Food is amazing, I highly recommend the pulled pork Benedict. Service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is pretty chill at times and all out party scene on weekend nights.

CREATIVITY!?! Check. I had the brunch with the family, what a great spot. I had eggs Benedict style with BBQ pulled pork, but this sophisticated Cuban isn’t making any pulled pork, it’s pernil baby. Golden Tater tots on the side, I love the switch up from French fries, I like the attention to detail there. And then to cleanse the pallet a fancy little salad with this dressing that is DELIGHTFUL. We will be back….

I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience left a sour taste — literally and figuratively.
First off, the bartender with the beard gave off an uncomfortable, borderline creepy vibe. Instead of just making the drink I requested, he kept suggesting which shots were “cheaper,” as if I couldn’t afford what I ordered. It felt condescending and weirdly judgmental.I noticed multiple flies in the lemon slices used for drinks. Absolutely unacceptable. Hygiene should be a bare minimum at any establishment serving food or beverages.
The atmosphere didn’t help. The energy was dull — a sea stares and generic vibes. It felt like a forced gathering at a family reunion I was never invited to. If you’re looking for any sort of cultural diversity or welcoming energy, this isn’t the place.
Bottom line: if you’re expecting cleanliness, respect, and a decent vibe, you might want to keep it moving. There are far better places by the water that won’t make you feel uncomfortable.
I never ran out of an establishment faster.

Tonight was my second time here and I can’t say enough about the food here. I love the menu it really is filled with comfort food. The cornbread mac n cheese app as absolute to die for. All the apps sound amazing, it was hard to choose just one. For entree, I had the rigatoni in vodka sauce topped with a big burrata ball. The rigatonis were HUGE and al dente. The sauce was amazing and the burrata was delicious
