Had early dinner tonight and we were pleasantly pleased. Friendly staff, very cold beer, great salsa with chips and our meals were hot and flavorful, we both got combination dinners; my husband got ground beef enchiladas with rice and beans, and I got chile Rellenos with rice and beans. Both were very good! Stop by this restaurant. If weather permits, they have outside seating and understand you can brine your dog for outside seating. We had to leave ours in car, tonight, as too cold

I used to come to this place all the time. This was one of my favorite Mexican restaurants to come to. I hadn’t been here in a while, so I decided to go today. It started off well; the chips and salsa were good. The service was good, and my food came out fast. But none of that matters when you factor in the quality of the food: it was so unbelievably bad. First of all, the refried beans were wattery! Straight up liquid! And they barely gave me any rice with it either. The tacos were honesty horrendous. The shells were overcooked, so they were very hard to bite into. The chicken and toppings tasted odd. I don’t even know how to explain it, but they didn’t taste like how they should. I believe that even Taco Bell’s tacos are better than the ones I had today! Also, when did their prices get so expensive? They were never “cheap,” but these prices are outrageous, especially for the portions and quality they give you! So they raised the prices but decreased quality? Wow. I’m in disbelief.
This was a very disappointing experience to have after not coming here for a few months, especially after genuinely being excited to come back. I will not be returning.

For the first time in years, I left less than a 20% tip. The young lady didn’t speak fluent English, which is usually a good sign. But we had been here before and never had a problem before. She got our order wrong twice, misunderstanding what was said despite physically showing on the menu the items requested (three times if you count totally forgetting the queso) then she let the other waiter on duty run her food. Every order. She didn’t adhere to the 2- bite rule (iykyk) and completely ignored my husband’s empty glass multiple times. She stood in the corner talking to her coworkers the whole time. I will not attribute to malice what can be blamed on ignorance, but this experience made me leave this review and change my 5-stars to 4. Bummer.

We stopped in the other night while walking around town. We were a bit wound up but they didn’t seem to mind.
We were going to just have drinks so we sat at the bar. The drinks were cold and delicious. It was 2 beers and 2 margaritas for us. While chilling we decided to grab something to eat. Beto was at the bar so he took our order. Some quesadillas, a burrito and a special order were our requests. The food was really good. Portions were great we had to bring some home.
We had a great time! All I can say is the drinks may make you use the wrong bathroom lol. And be sure to give everyone a hug when you go because “It’s Hug Day”

Order enchiladas they were delicious perfect just the way I like them.I would definitely come back here again, we were going to the sunrise theater for a Michael Jackson tribute band concert and it’s right down the street great location. The salsa was very very good and it came with warm chips.

I ordered the lunch special of two chicken tacos, which came with rice and beans, and I was disappointed with the quality and authenticity of the meal. The chicken wasn’t cut-up chicken cutlets or thighs as you’d expect—it was tinga, which is typically used for tostadas rather than tacos. The taco shell itself was also unusual: a deep-fried shell wrapped instead of a regular tortilla.
The toppings were more like something from a fast-food chain—lettuce, tomatoes, and sour cream—instead of the traditional cilantro and onion. The rice and beans were okay, but they didn’t have that authentic flavor you look for in a Mexican restaurant.
Casa Azteca has a prime location and a lot of potential, but they really need to improve the authenticity and quality of their dishes to deliver the true flavors people expect and to attract more clientele.
