After a walk along the beautiful local beach we popped into Kidygwen with the hope of a late dinner. From the start the welcome was warm, every effort was made despite our poor French. Food was generous and very fresh, particularly the oysters and prawns. Washed down with local wine, cider and sorbets. Each one delicious! Luca, our waitor, was so very hospitable, he really made our final night in Saint Malo one to remember. Merci Luca! We will be back!

Great meal and service. We were a group of 16 Americans (we’re a bit loud) which the French don’t like, and it’s a small place, but thankfully we had no complaints! We all enjoyed our food – several of us are vegetarian and they were able to accommodate our requests efficiently. Food was superb & dessert was beautifully presented.

We discovered this restaurant by chance and made it our guesthouse during our stay in Saint-Malo. The owner’s welcome is sensational, and the delicious and varied dishes are truly worth a visit. Living in the United States, we rarely visit France, but if the opportunity arises, we will return with undisguised pleasure. Note that the prices are very reasonable.

Fantastic food, great service, and the slightly mad lady who runs the place is very friendly and a fantastic host. The Salmon is absolutely to die for, they smoke it themselves.
The menu is brilliant, 3 courses with a wide variety of things to choose from.
Highly recommended, we went back twice while visiting.

The portions are large and it tastes really good. We spontaneously discovered the restaurant as we walked by and gave it a try. We are very please with our meals. The service is amazing, especially the young man, he noticed every small details and always checked if things were alright for us. Definitely recommend!

It was a very busy place when we arrived, we hadn’t a reservation and they fitted us in. We had food from the plate de jour. Everything was very well cooked. Well done to the serving team and the kitchen for keeping a very busy restaurant going. We weren’t charged the full price for the wine to compensate for any delays.

If you walked by and read the menu, you would think this was a burger place. Don’t be fooled – the fish main dishes are outstanding, as is the ambience and service. (We didn’t try any meat dishes, but I’m sure they are every bit as good.) Thank you for an excellent meal.
