Owner Sam was a delight! Excellent selection of Mid-Eastern foods and supplies. Next door is a store that had great stock of food preparation items and the restaurant was nicely decorated and has a very good selection of mid eastern foods and desserts. Highly recommended!

The best thing about this restaurant is the service. The staff is very attentive and welcoming. I would go back just because of how lovely they were to us. The food was great and it was awesome to find a halal restaurant in the area open on a Sunday. My husband enjoyed the fresh kibbeh and eggplant. The fries were fresh cut and home made. Always a plus! There was even free lentil soup available and it was tasty. The tea with sage was delicious. My only complaint was the kunafa. It was disappointing, especially for the price. It did not taste fresh and seemed as if it had been heated in the microwave. I should have asked about the freshness, but other than that everything was great! In terms of atmosphere, it has comfortable seating. 5 stars to the warm and friendly service for sure!

My best friend and I had lunch here today, immediately the staff was super welcoming and made you feel at home right away. It was our first time there, the waitress made sure we understood the menu and knew what all came with our meals. They offer free soup if you dine in– which was FANTASTIC. They also have a shopping area for groceries if needed! The food was so fresh, and flavorful it blew both of our minds. The staff were super intentional and attentive. We will be back!

My wife and I were driving from Chicago to NYC and needed food open after 8pm somewhere close to I-80 around Youngstown, Ohio. After searching the internet, we stumbled upon Knafa, and it was absolutely exactly what we were looking for! If you are ever passing through Youngstown and need quick and delicious food, you should definitely eat at Knafa! Also because we stopped by during Ramadan, the owner gave me a complementary delicious sweet baked treat for while we waited 🙂

Ordered take out the food was absolutely delicious. Exquisite. The food store carries the best dates i have tasted in this country from coast to coast. The Libyan dates and Emirati “Al Reef” dates melt in yiur mouth like butter. Their food from shop to restaurant is numero uno.

So i googled middle eastern restraunt near me as I live in the country and there aren’t any restraunts near by. Knafa came up. The first time I went there i went on a empty stomach. We ordered grape leaves hummus okra with lamb over rice, baked chicken over rice, the baklava and coconut cake for desert. The beverages were rose water with lychee and a couple other flavors. The food was authentic and taste great. When you walk in you’re greeted with smiles and a staff that is very attentive. It’s like your family and they treat you as if youre the favorite in the family. Since the fist time I’ve been there I’ve been back 5 times. I’ve tried the gyros which are hands down the best. The gyro meat is fresh. Really fresh, not like all the other places who cut it off the log then freeze it and reheat it. The meat literally falls off the bone of every dish I’ve had to far. This place is small but its probably one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in awhile and there is a small grocery store attached with all your middle eastern foods. Prices are fair for the portions you receive. I would rate this place a 10 out of 10. The owner has been there everyday I’ve went which tells you that the attention to detail is very important for him.
