At our Little Rock, AR location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

I asked at the drive thru, at the window, and when I waited and they brought my food out and said I WILL OAY I NEED 4 COCKTAIL SAUCES OKEASE. I ordered 2 meals and I got 2 tarter sauces. This happened the night before…food was so good hadn’t had it in so long…Soni was like on it was a mistake…so went went back next night ..then I called n was like u know…it ruins the entire meal when u don’t have the sauce for ur fish..etc….he said hold on. I waited 30 mins. Then called 40 more times bc why wud u do that as a business. No answer. Horrible service and ur sides are not worth 20¢ u we split the Mac n cheese n cole slaw bc we don’t eat two bites ..well there ain’t 4 bites in the sides we got….maybe the coke slaw…but Mac n cheeseust be made w gold. Fish was good though, but man…..service means ALot. And that just wasn’t cool not even to say my bad and I told them I drove 20 mins to get to u n 20 back they Still asked can I come back!?!

I recently visited a Captain D’s location I hadn’t been to before, and I have to say—it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.
The star of the visit was Shirley, who absolutely radiated kindness, love, and genuine hospitality. She spoke to me, other customers, and her coworkers with such warmth and welcoming energy that it truly elevated the entire atmosphere. It’s rare to encounter someone who makes you feel like family the moment you walk through the door, and Shirley did just that.
As for the food—it was perfectly good. The taste and quality were far beyond what I’ve come to expect from Captain D’s in recent years. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served just right. This was, hands down, the best meal I’ve had from a Captain D’s in a long time.
Between Shirley’s incredible service and the top-tier food, this visit reminded me why dine-in experiences can be so special. I’ll definitely be returning—and I hope Shirley is there to greet me again.

This was by far my greatest experience at the colonial glen location. I had to pull up which was fine because nothing worse than cold fish. Everything was pipin hot, service was great, waiting time was great. If I can get my food like that every time. Excellent job to the staff on 6/29 around 6:30pm. You guys should be proud of yourself for a job well done. Oreo pie delicious lemonade good just added more ice when I got home. I was very pleased with everything.

I ordered fish at the drive-through and got chicken instead and did not receive the drink. I paid for I was the only person in line. The place was not busy very disappointing when I got to where I was going and opened up the container.

Today is 01/30/2025 I got a deluxe seafood platter from captain d on Colonel Glenn in little Rock Arkansas I am so disappointed the shrimp was cooked last week the fish was cold and the crab cakes tasted like some dough with green onions in it. I will never eat at this place again they use to have good food 10 years ago I’m surprised they are still open with this kind of food

Ms Shirley, the manager Was not only rushing me while I was ordering my, but kept cutting me off, trying to upsell a product that I did not want and kept telling me to pull to the window when I had not completed My order .I didn’t know I was ordering from a drill, sergeant.

Even one star is too much! I ordered the grilled salmon. They say it’s wild, cold salmon, but it looks clearly that it is a farm raised Atlantic Salman. Rice was very salty. Corn was rotten. And food is oily and not fresh.

Great service. Food was good, but can sit heavy since so much is fried. Stars removed because food was on too small of a plate making it more difficult to eat without stuff falling off and because floors had grease feel and sitting areas were not clean (crumbs, etc).
