It’s two stories. We sat ourselves at a table upstairs. Our waitress was very nice and quick. We ordered the beer cheese with pretzels. The cheese comes out cold. I ordered the beer battered fish and chips. My husband ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich. The food came out quick.

My husband and I have been wanting to try out the Tavern and were finally able to Saturday night. We were able to snag 2 seats at the bar as all tables upstairs and downstairs were full. The bartender, I believe her name was Kate or Katie, was amazing. Very knowledgeable on cocktails and made sure to check in on us in between making drinks and helping other customers. Customer service here is top notch and the food is even better! We enjoyed the Portobello Mushrooms as an appetizer and had the burger of the week and a Truffle burger. Will definitely be making this our regular spot!

New Albany Tavern has taken over a great spot in downtown and has a lot going for it. The food is solid across the board; my burger (Black and Blue) came out juicy and flavorful, and the mac and cheese was especially delicious. They’ve kept the charm and old-school feeling of Pints and Union that used to be here, while adding their own twist with fun and unique drink specials. The “brown bag” is a standout idea and definitely worth trying (a random beer can and a shot. Never know what you’re gonna get!). Between the good food, creative drinks (both cocktails and specials), and the convenient location, this place makes for an enjoyable stop whether you’re out for dinner or just looking for a casual night out.

I’m particular about wings, and they do it right here. Crispy and sauce is great. Ranch has more of a mustard flavor but still good. Also only a dollar on Sunday and Monday seals it for me. Service was good, no complaints. Would love for this tavern to stay.

The food, service, and ambience were stellar! Hands down, one of the best places to eat at in Kentuckiana. I had the truffle burger, cooked medium w/truffle fries and ranch dipping sauce. I’ll most definitely be back, and I can’t wait!

Asked about a reservation on Wed told me to call the day ahead of time to confirm. I did that. Party of 12. Communication is lacking at this location. Other than that the food is great when we have had it in the past. Also the night manager needs better people skills. Rude. Went over to the Recbar and had a wonderful server and plenty of good food.

Highly recommend coming here. Place was a staple when I was in college at UofL. New Albany’s menu is not as big, but is just as good and the vibe is great. Order the Chipotle Chicken Quesadilla. Can’t miss. Maybe a brown bag special if you’re feeling dangerous.
