Genuinely the best restaurant in the wheel wide world.
We’ve never tasted fish so good before. You could actually taste the different flavour profiles of each type of fish so well, unlike at any other sushi place it’s all kinda more or less the same. Everything here was just slightly better than the other places, and that’s what makes it different.

We passed by Ebizo and decided to stop in for lunch. We ordered the Sushi Combination, two rolls, and a pot of tea to share. Since we had breakfast just two hours before, we weren’t too hungry — the portion size of the combination was just right. If you have a bigger appetite, you might want to add a small side dish.
The Salmon Roll and Tuna Roll were better than I expected, with generous portions of fish. Prices are reasonable for downtown Victoria, and the ingredients were very fresh. The staff were friendly and polite — it seemed like many of the customers were regulars.

Ebizo Sushi is one of Victoria’s true culinary mainstays. For over twenty years, it has consistently delivered exceptionally fresh and beautifully presented dishes, with a level of care and precision that reflects real craftsmanship.
What stands out just as much is their team, many of whom have been there since we first were introduced over twenty years ago. That continuity speaks volumes about the tradition, discipline, and pride behind everything they do.
Reliable, authentic, and consistently excellent. Highly recommended.

Great food and atmosphere. Eating on the bar is a recommended experience. The best sushi in town and one I have ever had. If you are in Victoria BC, you must stop by and try out the selection they have to offer.

It is a great service and place I order a ramen but I usually order regular noddles and Instead I order udon I wasn’t much a fan of them but I also tried same thing but regular and it was so tasty and good, we order some nigiri toro and Saba, I expected to be fire flame first but it was raw which is completely fine but in some Japanese they do it for Saba nigiri that is fire for bringing flavour to it. Overall I enjoyed the experience 🙂

We stood right in front of the staff for 10 minutes with two empty tables clearly visible. Instead of seating us, the hostess took a phone call and gave those seats away, claiming they were ‘booked 30 minutes ago’ while we were standing there watching. This level of shortsightedness from the staff speaks volumes about the quality of management. It’s clear they lack basic hospitality logic. Truly a disappointing first impression. 0 stars out of 5.

I have been to more than 200 sushi stores cross Canada and Japan. This is literally the worst salmon/tuna sashimi I have ever seen and eaten. Salmon in t&t or h-mart is 10x better. I won’t even feed those to my cats.

The best sushi joint in Victoria. Almost everybody in there is regulars, they treat you like family, and the quality is amazing. Once you find this gem, you won’t have the urge to to go anywhere else for your sushi fix.

Crazy good value and so delicious and fresh. Sashimi was huge slices. The scallop roll was INCREDIBLE and theres a fun secret ingredient in there youd never assume with pair so well with scallop but it does 😉 just try it

Food not fresh. I feel like they use frozen food and heat it up for customers. Services are ok.
The picture shows how much I couldn’t finish. I barely touched it.
