What really makes this place stand out is the friendly service. They even went the extra mile and made a root beer float and a malt shake upon request — not something you find everywhere.
There’s also a nice outdoor patio where you can sit and enjoy your treat, making it a great pit stop whether you’re passing through or staying nearby.

Every time we come to Palm Springs, we carve out time to come here to have a date shake. Have sampled date shakes around town, and this is by far the best one. It is thick and has small chunks of dates, and is the perfect level of sweetness. They also have a lovely patio in the back, and perfect place to relax and drink your shake.

We went to the Windmill Market for date shakes. They shred the dates and put it into your ice cream of your choice. My husband chose the standard vanilla ice cream for his date shake. I chose butternut pecan for mine, and it was delicious! Friendly service as well. I enjoy coming here for our date shake fix.

We came here for a lunch and date shake after our windmill tour. It looks like a corner mart on the outside and inside, but order your food and drinks and the counter and they will bring to you on the back patio. The food was cooked fresh, quick, AND it was tasty. This place is a good spot for a no fuss, good, quick meal and very yummy date shake!

we go back to this joint every year we come to Palm Springs. the sandwiches, tacos, and enchaladas are really good. my friend from the east says it’s the best pastrami sandwich he’s eaten in his life. the date shakes are why we come back. but they make great chocolate shakes as well.

Everyone loved the date shakes – my sandwich was ok but the guys liked there’s. The dates were amazing and the atmosphere was very California desert. Highly reccomend- it was packed on a Monday late afternoon w no signs of slowing. Prices were excellent! This place was highly recommended and it didn’t disappoint. Out of the way local hidden gem.

The food was amazing absolutely finger licking good. Service was worse than a gas station cashier, the girl had an attitude and didn’t even crack a smile. The man wasnt the worst but if he would have taken a few seconds to pay attention to us and what we where asking, we wouldnt have left with a banana split that wasnt with the flavors my husband wanted. The market was adorable and had little trinkets and random things. The place was nice and cool. If the people there would have just taken a second and maybe smiled and listened then I would have given them 5 stars. Until 2 younger workers showed up service was bad. Try the food if you dont mind the service, my pregnant self was very much satisfied in that aspect.
