Now for the most important part the food…..
Fresh bread with olive tapenade and olive oil was such a nice change of pace from the traditional butter and/or olive oil and seasonings to dip your bread. It was salty, rich, and delicious…
My husband had the chicken parmesan entree with mixed vegetables instead of pasta (which they happily substituted). He thoroughly enjoyed every bite of it! I had the rigatoni sorrentino Which was amazing as well. The pasta sauce was perfect the mozzarella, nice and fresh and the fresh parsley and basil added that perfect touch of freshness! We both had salads with the house dressing, balsamic vinaigrette, which was very fresh…a nice mix of greens, not just boring old lettuce.
Although we did not have dessert, we both did indulge in a cappuccino, which was really delicious. A nice touch of cinnamon (with the G’ZEPPS stencil OMG how cute!!!) and froth was just perfect!
Every part of the meal was absolutely delicious, and the service….amazing! All the little details show how much they put into this restaurant, guests and food…Go check it out, you’ll see what I mean….We will certainly be back!
Atmosphere: Really nice. The decorations and everything look so good. While I was eating here, a lot of my favorite music were playing so I enjoyed the environment. The wallpaper, there was even this bike suspended from the ceiling, projector there, lighting, and overall really nice to look at.
Service: Really nice people. Communication really nice. Not really much else I am saying I know. But while I was eating one person had even asked if I am liking it so far. Also noticed they ask everyone that.
Food: I got 2 Margherita slices and 1 Sicilian thick crust slice. For here. The slices were already in the display so they warmed it up. They did add extra sauce to the Sicilian when I asked. Which was nice. I had the Margherita slice first. It was hot. Slightly burned my palate. When hot it tastes really good. I especially loved the sauce. The undercarriage was great as it had good color and a nice bake. A bit floppy though. But when holding in a V fold it stays good. The crust was great. Normally I ignore the crust at some places. A bit sad that the Sicilian and other Margherita slices I had left got a bit cold by the time I got to them. The Sicilian slice I enjoyed. The undercarriage well done. It had that crunchy bite but the inside was nice and soft. Had great crumbs structure. This is the first place I felt a Sicilian slice is great. The sauce good. The extra sauce helped . The crust I liked it. The last Margherita slice since it was cold I didn’t so much like the cheese but I loved the sauce as it stood out more to me.
Overall I will definitely come back to try other slices, maybe even order a full pie or other items on the list.
The crust is exactly what it should be. Crisp on the bottom, chewy inside, with that slight char that tells you they know what they’re doing. The sauce is balanced, not too sweet, not too heavy, and tastes like it was made with intention, not poured out of a can. The cheese is generous without being greasy, and every bite just works.
What really got me, though, is that it feels like real pizza. The kind you grow up with. The kind you judge all other pizza against. One slice in and I knew this was going to be my go to spot.
If you care about pizza and you’ve ever lived somewhere with high standards, do yourself a favor and come here. This place delivers the real deal, and I couldn’t be happier to finally have a slice like this close to home.
Gzepps is hands down the best authentic Italian food around! Every dish tastes like it was made with love and tradition — fresh ingredients, perfect flavors, and that true home-style touch you can’t find anywhere else. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the staff treats you like family. Whether it’s pasta, pizza, or dessert, you can taste the love put into the dishes with every bite. If you’re looking for real Italian food done right, Gzepps is the spot!
The employees are friendly, and their top to bottom renovation provides a fantastic atmosphere. You should definitely order in person as their prices are higher on delivery apps, but overall I’d give it 5 solid stars.
