I always wondered what the infamous Zeas had to offer welp I finally got my experience. The service was good the waitress was attentive, the atmosphere was really nice the food proportions was pretty decent for the price but the taste of the food wasn’t as good as to be expected, I had the stuffed salmon with crunchy asparagus & mash potatoes collard greens & mashed sweet potatoes & strawberry tea ( had no taste whatsoever just colored water) & a frozen alcoholic fruity drink ( I don’t remember the name) unfortunately the alcoholic fruit drink is what I would return for the most. The fish was pretty tasty everything else was not so tasty ; mom had shrimp & grits ( that was pretty good), I don’t remember the name of the salad & sandwich but they were ok as well. The dessert was strawberry cheese cake I think & brownies which comes with a scoop of vanilla ice cream they were delicious, I love the presentation of the food overall.

love this Zea’s location—it’s conveniently close to Elmwood, offers plenty of parking, and we’ve never had trouble getting a table. The staff is always welcoming, and the service has consistently been excellent. On our most recent visit, we enjoyed the Balsamic Salmon, Beef Sirloin, and a table full of Steamed Veggies and Zea Potatoes. Everything was delicious, and we highly recommend this Zea’s!

What a great place! I got their approximately 5:00 p.m. and there were a few people seated, but not overly crowded. I was greeted warmly and taken to my table where the waitress appeared promptly. The waitress provided excellent, consistent service checking on me frequently.
I had the Thai ribs with corn grits and broccoli. Everything was delicious, to the point that I couldn’t finish the six ribs that were brought to me. I got a to go container for a few of them. I didn’t have room for dessert.
I’ll be back next time I’m in town! Highly recommend them!

The food is pretty good, but this is not worth $25.00. Small half chicken, and they only gave me half the thigh which is my favorite part. Theirs might taste a little better than a $5.00 Wal Mart rotisserie chicken, but not $20.00 better.

Server must have been overwhelmed, but they did have good team work since several different people took care of me outside of taking my order. The salad was drenched in dressing so I wasn’t able to enjoy it and the sandwich was subpar. I only give 3 stars because of the team work I saw put in. If I do visit again, it will just be for the hummus and drinks! The manager was active throughout the dining room delivering food which is a great, uncommon occurrence to see in most restaurants. I’ll give it a try again eventually! Wish there was a bar at this location.

The service at Zea was great. My waitress was Carrie and she was awesome. She kept my glass full of your delicious lemonade. It took no more than 5 mins after my order, and I had a plate in front of me. I had the half rotisserie chicken with cheese grits and red beans and rice. Fast service, friendly staff, with delicious food made for an enjoyable time.

Zea Rotisserie & Cafe on Hickory Avenue in Harahan (just a stone’s throw from Elmwood) offers a solid dining experience that’s hard not to appreciate—even if it doesn’t quite knock your socks off. The rotisserie chicken is reliably juicy, the Thai ribs have a nice kick, and the roasted corn grits are a comforting side that rarely disappoints. I recently had the Honey Island chicken sandwich and it was delicious. Absolutely recommend the hummus.

I have eaten at Zea Harahan many times. The food is delicious, the staff is attentive and goes out of their way to help you and be of assist in any way they can. My only complaint is the temperature in the restaurant. It is always freezing cold. I always bring a sweater or jacket. To have to do this in July and August is ridiculous. It is difficult to enjoy your meal when you are so uncomfortable.

I was in a rush, and the hostess was kind and patient with me. I tried the roasted Chicken and it was WOW. The French technique they use was absolutely amazing. The nice char on the outside with the soft moist inside made it great. The greens were also stupendous. It was a bit pricey so watch out there.
