We absolutely love going to this Slowpokes! Whether we stop in for mugs of expertly crafted hot drinks enjoyed in the cozy atmosphere, or take our delicious iced drinks for a walk in the park, we know we’re going to get a treat. Their food is amazing as well. I’ve tried to remember to take a picture of their breakfast taco with avocado every time I’ve had it, and I always forget and eat it before I remember. It’s such a good snack!! The cilantro crema is amazing!!!! The staff here are all super friendly, nice and patient as well, whether we come in the morning, afternoon, or night. Though we love our morning people Thank you Slowpokes!!!

Some of the best food finds aren’t planned, they just happen. That’s exactly how I stumbled onto Slowpokes.
I’m from Conroe and was in the area handling business, just looking for a solid cup of coffee to get me through the day. Instead, I found a spot that feels like it was designed for slowing down on purpose.
The coffee? Idk it was just a coffee compared to what I ordered with it, the real surprise was the bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. Not just “good for a coffee shop” good, genuinely incredible. Fluffy, buttery, and comforting in that Southern way that hits home.
What really elevates the experience is the setting. Right out front is a beautiful park , the perfect place to sit with your coffee, take a walk, or just breathe for a minute. It adds this calm, almost retreat-like feel to the whole visit.
Slowpokes isn’t just a coffee stop, it’s a vibe. And if I find myself in the area again, I won’t be “accidentally” walking in next time. I’ll be going on purpose.

I love their coffee! I also appreciate how fast the service is if you want a quick bite. My favorite thing to get is a blue berry muffin, with breakfast tacos and a vanilla latte.

Tremendous coffee and really approachable menu with a variety of fun names and flavor combinations. Salmon and lox and lazy latte — my fav! 10 star service — always a friendly smile and hours are great (late evening). I left a personal item behind and they kept it safe and sound!

Nice coffee and food, though it was very crowded, with a fifteen ish minute wait and slow service. They seemed quite understaffed, and the person tending to everything seemed quite stressed. I tried the “Empanadas” which be warned is one empanada despite how plurals work. Anyways, they tasted good.

Tried the snickerdoodle a specialility of theirs honestly, nothing snickerdoodle about it. That said, the service and atmosphere were dope. Calm, quiet enough to read a book, enjoy a sandwich, sip drip coffee, and actually relax. Great spot for slowing down and unwinding. For the time I went before closing

Came for lunch and coffee absolutely every one agree that the location and the seating are great plus the service i tried slowpoke salad was good but the coffee wasnt good at all maybe the iced sweet coffee are good but mine i ordered flat white was sour i didnt like it at all ,

I ordered a matcha latte, but it just tasted like milk with almost no matcha flavor. I asked the staff to remake it, but the employee was very rude the drink was filled to the top, spilled over, and they didn’t even bother to wipe it or properly close the lid. The second one still tasted bad, so I ended up throwing both away. This was my first visit to this location, but I’m really disappointed with how poorly this Slowpokes branch is managed.

I LOVE a good cafe and this place is a great cafe.
The coffee was superb, and the pastries looked delicious (I couldn’t justify a second breakfast on a Monday morning
I am keen to go back and try some “all-day breakfast” items.
It is a great location, too, opposite Levy Park. WATCH OUT for the parking restrictions, though!

Living nearby Slowpokes is a huge reason why my wife and I moved to the apartments we now live in. This coffee shop is one of the best in the city. The vibes are consistently relaxed and friendly, the service is always personable and kind, the coffee is always great. The shop strikes a great balance between aesthetic and cozy hipster interior. Slowpokes is truly the place to be.
I have especially appreciated the friendly conversation I’ve gotten to have with several of the baristas especially Glory and Darrian. They work hard and yet make time to chat with anyone. I always feel right at home at Slowpokes.
