This is our second Valentines Day dinner here and we’ll be back again next year as well!
This was a Fabulous 4 course meal from start to finish. Wonderful old hotel, with an amazing view. Outstanding service, incredible food. I dont get the low ratings.
The server was attentive and informative regarding menu questions.
The food was good. It is not fine dining as much as it is comfort food.
The dining area has great views of the Columbia River and garden landscape.
The facility is clean and well maintained.
I enjoyed my snowy lunch at this restaurant. I plan to return in the future.
Food was straight up great. Had the andouille mushroom ravioli and my wife had the seafood pasta. Both plates were delicious and what you’d be expecting from a high end restaurant. Also ordered the kafta(?) Which is some pita bread hamburger type Turkish dish which tasted like kinda like tacos and was amazing. Stayed here on a holiday getaway special and also got a free bottle of wine with our 2 entree dinner which turned out to be a $70 bottle of wine which was an awesome surprise.
Also the hotel is really old, classy, and unique. Worth the visit alone even if you’re not staying here. just checkout the pic from our room.
After such a great experience at dinner we were excited to eat here for breakfast. Unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations due to the service that was received. We were seated by the hostess who was friendly and welcoming and told our waitress would be over soon. Within two minutes the waitress was at our table and ask “are we ready to order” while standing back about 10 feet from the table. We had barely even had time to look at the menu so we asked for more time. The way she asked made us feel extremely rushed and she didn’t even ask if we wanted to start with drinks or the normal “how are you all doing today” before she walked away. We were able to flag her back down to ask for water while we looked over the menu. While seated at our table we were asked to put a mask on every time she approached the table, even though our table and no other table was asked to do this the prior night. I understand being cautious but this felt extremely over the top and made the experience uncomfortable. She was very short with us and we very much felt like we were being rushed out. So much so we didn’t even order the bloody Mary’s we were craving to go with breakfast to avoid another uncomfortable interaction with out waitreas. Even though there were only about 4 or 5 other occupied tables and she was not the only server. We ordered our food which was delicious but we watched many other tables walk out without attention from her for over 15 min. We felt bad for them, we weren’t enjoying ourselves and felt like it was just a weird start to our day. The most common phrase at the table was that we missed Tim, our server from the night before. In my opinion, Tim’s service should be your gold standard. May want to have him teach an etiquette and customer service workshop and increase his pay 🙂
I foolishly assumed a level of food that would surpass Sheri’s restaurant with their charge of $55.00 per person.
We arrived and they could not find my reservation, despite receiving a text message the day before wanting me to confirm, which I did. That was really not a problem since they only had 6 tables being used.
The food was sub par to say the least. Plenty of options but absolutely tasteless and cold. Food was kept in chaffing dishes that had burners under them but the fuel had either run out or they were not turned on. The servers were kind but began disassembling the food stations within 35 minutes of our arrival. So incredibly disappointing!
Eat here if you don’t care about the quality or flavour and just want a nice view.
