Best breakfast sandwich ever! Great food, great atmosphere – and the coffee was very good as well. We also got a cinnamon roll and cookie “to go” so we’re looking forward to those. The folks running the restaurant were so friendly and conversational – they really actually care about their customer’s experience. We even got a little sample of the chicken soup/pot pie mixture They allow free RV camping to the side- back of their business.

Everything was delicious! Make sure you start with dessert first; the chocolate chip cookie and cinnamon bun-YUM! You will not be disappointed and Josie’s welcoming demeanor was icing on the cake!

We took what turned out to be a 3 hour drive from Dawson City to Chicken on a Monday morning (Aug 12, 2024). We took the Top of the World Highway & ended up in Chicken. To say we were delighted is an understatement!
We looked around a bit, but it doesn’t take long as the entire town is RIGHT IN ONE SPOT! How unique!
We decided to have lunch before we headed back to Dawson. And what else would ever order in Chicken on a cool, foggy day than chicken soup!
Oh my! The soup! I’m going to go ahead & say if I have had better soup, I don’t know when or where. It was DEEEE-LICIOUS! And the bread that comes with it? Sinfully, gloriously devine!
The staff were friendly. The service was good. Washrooms leave a bit to be desired as it’s an outhouse & then you come back in to wash your hands, but whatever, it works.
Lots of room for parking. Washrooms. Food. Gift shop. Gas. Friendly people. Stellar day.

Amazing food and service, and cosy, friendly atmosphere. A must stop when in Chicken, AK. Best cherry pie I have ever tasted. Thank you for making us feel welcome in your little corner of the world.

Best breakfast bap this side of the pond! After a bumpy drive from Dawson we were dusty and hungry, we stumbled into the Creek Cafe not knowing what to expect (other than the pies are good) and was met with glorious nectar. Bison patty that was super juicy, and well cooked and seasoned, amazing crispy fried eggs (yolks popped which i always appreciate in a bap so you don’t get a yolky T-shirt) and lashings of American cheese which as a simple Brit I have really come to appreciate and see it’s superiority. And a toasted bun that encased it all. YUM. The girls working were really lovely, welcoming and chatty and the cafe had a lovely feel. I would definitely drive again specially for the sandwich if I was in the area it was so so good!!! We got cherry pie to take away to have for tea later and looks v good. Thanks so much xx

Best breakfast we’ve had on this trip, amazing cinnamon buns and the pie! This whole complex of places is where you’ll want to spend all your time in Chicken. Awesome stop.

Stopped at Chicken Creek Café in Chicken, Alaska. You order and sit down and you pick up your food at the counter. The food was actually quite good — I’d give it an 8.5 out of 10. I had the breakfast sandwich and a cinnamon roll; my wife had blueberry pie. All tasty.
But the bill? Over $61 for the two of us. Breakfast sandwiches were $18.95 each, pie and cinnamon roll were $8 apiece. I get that it’s remote Alaska, but that’s just crazy. Good food, but hard to enjoy when the price feels like a gut punch.

6 stars if we could. Super nice folks. Allowed us to boondock next to the Cafe. Invited us to a 7pm dinner that a bunch of miners came too. Man, the stories. The people. The atmosphere. All top shelf.
Look for our JPX Adventures sticker in the Saloon!!
Awesome time here.
