Of all the delicious places to eat South of the border, this has to be one of my favorites. Traditional old school style tortilla machine right out in the middle, hot griddles and absolutely yummy tacos! If you’re visiting Nogales Son then check this place out.

This is the one of the best restaurants in Nogales, Sonora and our favorite for birria. We drive down from the Tucson area over an hour to eat at this place. It’s a no thrills place with outdoor seating right off the main road that runs through the middle of Nogales.
Don’t expect great service or atmosphere… Do expect great food. We like to start off with consome (soup) and birria tacos and quesadillas. The tortillas are freshly made to order and hot off the comal. And the salsas are flavorful and spicy.
Make sure to get there no later than 12pm otherwise they might run out of birria which happens often when you get there late for lunch. This happened and we tried the cabeza and chicharones which was good. We also tried the ubre (udder) and it was OK, too soft a texture for my taste.
And be prepared to park on the street because their little parking lot only holds maybe 5 or 6 cars until it’s full.
