A must!! If you’re a lover of Italian food, pizza, diner sandwiches, or in-house made soup, you will LOVE this little restaurant. It’s an intergenerational, locally owned and ran restaurant. I had the lasagna, and I’ll be dreaming of it often! It’s just short, and I mean, just short of life changing. Everything is tasty, fresh, and a completely comfortable environment. A lot of different aged people, from young to elderly, and everyone was happily together. Just a treasure to the community. Def affordable, and generous portions, and Family Size offerings. Parking lot is limited, so ride together, if you can, just to be safe, but GO! You’ll be so pleased!

I visited here on Saturday, for the first time. I came in with a hankering for a toasted club sandwich. WoW! I am glad I ordered one, because it was amazing! The bacon was perfect salty and crispy. The ham and turkey was very generously stacked on the sandwich. The table next to me had a yummy-looking pizza. I didn’t even know Smith’s had pizza on the menu. Then I noticed the pizza oven. So, I ordered one to take home. It was also incredibly delicious! I’ll definitely be back. The vibe was laid-back, and everyone seemed happy. The sounds of the customers chatting, the sounds of the fountain pop being poured, and the music olaying softly in the background, was like the soundtrack. The customer service was exceptional and genuine. Oh….and make sure to grab a cookie or three.

Going here feels like stepping back to a bygone era! Big fan of all of the historic Columbus memorabilia. Ordered a turkey sandwich and meatball sub. Both were absolutely delicious and toasted to perfection. Very reasonable price point, and service was thoughtful and friendly.

Driven by hundreds of times but never stopped so today we fixed that. This is a serious old school delicious but it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The prices are great, and the food is really good. I had the Smiths sub with 2 sides and a cookie. The sub was good, the sides were homemade ( potatoe salad and pasta salad) and the cookies was delicious. Wifie had a salad which she really enjoyed. Some folks won’t like the interior decor because it is dated but the food and service make that a mute point. I wished we had visited earlier because there is more depth to their menu to explore.

We tried the chicken Parmesan over spaghetti and the chicken Parmesan sandwich. The rolls were good along with the side salad. The sandwich bread was quite good, however, the chicken tasted similar to one you would get in a frozen meal. It was tender, but overly juicy and squirted hot juice that burnt my mouth. The mozzarella cheese tasted like store bought shredded cheese. It was a fine meal for the price ($10-13), but nothing to write home about. I expected more based on the many positive reviews. I will likely come back to try their deli sandwiches and maybe the pizza. I hope this experience was a one off.

I began to work in the neighborhood not long ago and have stopped by this restaurant a few times to take out subs for lunch. The subs I have had, including Super Smith Sub and Chicken Parmesan, were so good! The prices were very reasonable with the portion of food! Mostly, the staff were friendly. They made me feel like home!
I am grateful this restaurant is only minutes away from where I work. I will definitely keep visiting this restaurant and trying out their other subs and dishes! Highly recommended!

So many delish options to choose from with great prices. I can’t remember the last time the two of us were able to order this much food and keep the cost under $30. Big fan of the atmosphere and never changing aesthetics. A treasure for Clintonville.
We just came back with our friend from out of town. She was a big fan. This place is absolutely amazing each and every time. I’m still floored by the prices!
Cheers!

Writing from my Grandson’s phone! Today was Grandparents day and we were looking for the perfect nostalgic spot after baseball practice. We sauntered in on a lovely Fall evening – we had the sense this place had been around for a while.
There was a friendly atmosphere, and the place was bustling with locals. We said hello to the kind couple next to us who recommended the veggie lasagna. We walked up front to order, and decided on the lasagne and a BLT. The BLT was pretty standard, but the lasagna was truly special. The warmth and flavor of the cascade of tomato sauce was akin to a hundred hugs from our little Sonny bear! Highly recommend that dish
Will be returning on a cold winter’s night for a cozy meal!

Heard it’s much loved by locals and went to try it out on a visit. Wide variety of options and love that it’s been family owned for decades and I’m sure will continue unlike many changing places in the area. But food is GREAT too. There is a fun old time atmosphere featuring a local “Clintonville” newspaper which was cool to take a copy of. They also have fun semi-specialty drinks (ex: I’m obsessed with Stewart’s root beer so it was a win). We tried different sandwiches and everyone was happy with their meals!

This place is the best. We found them during a power outage when they were the only ones with power like two years and we’ve been coming here ever since. Discovery of the century. Generally good prices and great food and vibes.
