This French cafe quickly became our go-to spot for slow mornings and pastries. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and the staff is always warm and welcoming. Chanique makes some of the best cappuccinos we’ve ever had.

#yumthebestever A must-stop if you love great pastries. The almond croissant here is next level—perfectly flaky, buttery, and generously filled with rich almond flavor without being overly sweet. Fresh, authentic, and exactly what you want with a coffee.

If you’re in Simpson Bay and craving something indulgent (or just really well done), this is the spot.

La Sucrière is an absolute gem in St. Maarten and easily one of our favorite spots from the trip. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully made, and incredibly delicious — you can truly taste the quality in every pastry. Whether you stop in for breakfast or a sweet treat later in the day, you really can’t go wrong.

What made the experience even more special was the setting — the view out back over the marina is stunning and creates such a relaxing, memorable atmosphere while you enjoy your food and coffee.

A big thank you as well to our server, Chanique, who was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. She made us feel welcome from the moment we sat down and elevated the entire experience with her service.

Highly recommend La Sucrière to anyone visiting St. Maarten — we’ll absolutely be back.

Came few times while on the island. Every time the ladies behind the counter delivered. Good teamwork, very courteous. Today Chanique was exceptional. Highly recommended to start the day on the patio overlooking the marina.

Very delicious bakery. Had the love croissant which was filled with berry jam, along with fresh orange juice. The staff (especially Chanique who served me) are very nice and accommodating. The food all looks delicious and it was hard making a decision on what to try.

La Sucrière in Simpson Bay is a charming French bakery with some of the best croissants, pastries, and baguettes on the island. The back terrace overlooking the lagoon is a perfect spot for coffee and breakfast. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and the variety of sandwiches and sweets makes it a great stop any time of day. It can get busy in the mornings, but the quality and atmosphere make it well worth a visit.

Shaquiya is always smiling, with a willingness to help and always respectful when we come in. They make the best cafe late on the island and their fresh croissants and pastries are always a perfect breakfast. (The pistachio chocolate is to die for)
Not to mention their lunch sandwiches when you need to take something to the beach. Happy to come here every morning when I was on vacation.

Stuck in the corner of a shopping area on the road, but a great place to stop. Highly recommended by our local friends. We throughly enjoyed the treats we bought. We even went back for more another day.
