Ordered 34.00 worth of food. A Taco Salad that had no Taco taste at all, a Turkey Dressing dinner with mashed potatoes and Mac n Cheese with a Sweet Tea. Turkey Dinner was GROSS..it was partially cold, potatoes cold. I ordered brown gravy, got none and they didn’t even let me know. Mac n Cheese was cold but might been decent hot. There was a Roll, flat like a pancake, some kind of muffin that taste like paste. Sweet Tea had no sugar but they did give me a few sugar packs. Tea taste like it’s a month old sitting out. So disappointed. Tried calling 10 times and of course they arnt answering because I want my money back. That’s cool though, won’t eat there ever again…EVER. I do not recommend this restaurant.

People, I’m sorry. I did not take a picture of my plate. I got the pork chops with dressing, a side of fries, and a side of candied yams and a pink lemonade. Let me tell you! There were two chops about an inch and a half thick. Cooked to perfection.l! Cooked through yet tender. Absolutely devine! The yams were good.
The waitress, Tracy, was a delight. She is a true people person who knows how to cater to customers. She made our dining so delightful.

Good food, great service and a decent price. The wait staff are super friendly and attentive without being annoying. My over medium eggs with home fries were cooked perfectly. The sausage patties were also very good. The biscuits were a bit tough / dense and the sausage gravy was very smooth and creamy. The peach and apple pie was good but not awesome. Overall this is a solid restaurant and a very good value.

I sent my wife to get just some greens. I could here the person serving her being rude. This person was a male. We were charged 8 dollars for 5 ounces of greens. No problem. But when she brought them home. I warmed them up and proceeded to eat. On first notice. The greens were not cleaned, they had more stems than greens and they were hard as leather. No one leaves stems in greens. Someone should teach them how to cook collard greens. They were flavorless and all stems. Very disgusting. JT Thomas. Must load this on social media. People need to know what not to get from Burkey’s.

If you’re looking for value, delicious food, and friendly service, give Burkey Family Restaurant a try. We enjoyed omelets so huge that I had to take half home. Our server was attentive and friendly. Their dinner specials sounded delicious, too. We’ll definitely stop in again the next time we’re in the neighborhood.

My kids absolutely loved the mac & cheese. We only got one and were all sorta fighting over it. My daughter asked for spinach and mushrooms on her burger and they said no problem, and it was great. Beer battered fish and catfish were real filets and not processed fish parts.
Atmosphere inside and out could use a little work, but it’s clean and has soft booths like a diner.
People are nice. I heard from them, that it’s recently under new ownership, so if you tried it pre 2024, you might want to try it again.

This restaurant recently changed hands. I had the fried chicken with onion rings and potato salad. It was all fantastic. The potato salad was just like my mom made! If you are looking for great home cooked food, it’s here.
