Restaurant was recommended to me by friends. I was attending the Covered bridge festival in Parke county Indiana and Covered Bridge Restaurant was on my way home. Unfortunately I was disappointed. Ordered the homemade vegetable soup, and the chicken and noodles. The vegetables soup was ok, but only Luke warm and I was surprised that it had ground beef in it.
The chicken and noodles was cold. Waitress never came back to check on me, but I was able to get a bus boy to heat it up in the microwave, twice. First time it was still cold second time hot. Chicken and noodles was very bland and not a bit of chicken to be found in the serving. I was very disappointed.

This is a favorite local restaurant for my family. Today, I took my son over for a date lunch. We were both disappointed. The server rarely came to the table. Although we weren’t ready the first time she came to take our order, she didnt’ come back for over 20 minutes. I ordered grilled texas toast and the beef brisket- BBQ is a loved dish. However, despite being served a very small portion of meat for a dinner serving, I couldn’t even eat half of it. There was too much fat. Also, the texas toast was dry and I was finished with my the rest of my meal before I was able to get the attention of a different server. When she returned with the apple butter, she took my plate after I said I couldn’t eat it any more of the meat. My server removed my knife with the plate and remaining meat. Rather than ask how to make it better, the server took my dish and never returned to the table. Not even to get me a new knife she said she would get me so that I could spread stuff on my toast.

What can I say about this place. Limited food around and this place knocked it out of the park. When you walk in your taken back to a time were things were easier. The food was good as well as the service. The pricing was reasonably priced. I have the country steak Manhattan. My plate was clean when they picked it up.

The food was excellent. The waitress treated us like a local. I’m a catfish guy. Thanks for the good USA raised catfish. We made the drive from Turkey Run SP. Will do it again with whole family. First class

Great food at a very out of the way location. Very large portions and reaso ably priced. We have been going out in Indiana due to the price increases in Illinois restaurants as well as significant portion reductions.

Such a neat little spot, hidden off the highway. My son’s and I were traveling back home to TN, and decided we were hungry, but didn’t want to eat at a chain restaurant. This place came up on a Google search, and im glad it did. Huge selection on the menu, everything we tried was good, our server was very friendly, and the area was perfect. Got to explore the covered bridge, and area around it after we ate. Great overall experience.

It’s a really small and very Cozy Restaurant service is extremely good attentive to what you like and I like the fact that they know the menu well they got some good nice parking and next to where they have a historical Bridge built in 1873 does the name of the restaurant. I ordered a Manhattan with some curly fries and I recommend this to everyone it tastes great you don’t know what it is come order it you won’t regret it.
