No one around to take your order. Machines were available, but they would answer the questions that we had. Machine wanted a tip for me to do the work of taking the order. Tables were dirty and I had to clean one. There was a guy walking around, pushing a cart. He was no ball of fire. Panera was a great place in the past, but since the pandemic they shortened their eagle spread menu and lessened their work force. If they would bring back the smiling faces and broaden their menu it may be top notch again.

ate lunch here a few days ago, used to be a nice place when it opened, but like a lot of other places not so user friendly anymore. too much corporate control and not enough personal touch.
I had a new sandwich that was on the board, with a soup. the soup looked like broccoli and cheese, even had broccoli in it Taste was not so good. my sandwich was a large piece of focaccia with a few slicers of meat off to one side & the tomatoes thrown in a pile, I had to rearranged it before I could eat it. last thing my wife said was,”I used to love that place so much I couldn’t wait to go back, but I don’t care if I ever go back!”

On a recent visit, we had a horrible and disrespectful experience while placing and receiving our order.
Pulling through the drive through, we ordered two bowls of soup and a half sandwich from the menu. After ten minutes sitting at the drive through window, I caught the attention of the window employee and she signaled that the order would soon be ready. As traffic built behind us, I once again caught the attention of the attendant. A different employee appeared, a young male, and said the order would be ready shorty.
Ten minutes later, a full twenty (documented) minutes later, the young male served our order through the window. When I mentioned that we’d been waiting twenty minutes…. in the drive through…. he was rude and indignant, and said “it’s been only ten minutes”. I advised him that he was incorrect and that we had documented waiting twenty minutes. He disputed the delay and rudely stated, ” It wasn’t that long and sorry we ruined your day.”
It became clear to us while dining that the soup was quickly thrown together. Poor food quality, and unacceptable service.

Love the food and the rewards. Sip membership has been a huge plus, really saving me a lot, and only a few days in for me.
Also, on the rare occasions there is something wrong with my order, they always are the sweetest and resolve it no problem. Im someone that really hesitates mentioning any issue with food, as not to inadvertently upset someone preparing the food. However, I haven’t had any issues with politely bringing it to their attention.
In fact, sometimes they even give you a little treat as an extra sorry for the inconvenience. ✨️ they work HARD behind that counter and they still do it with a smile and great customer service

End of January 2023 righ when I was ready to give up Panera forever…they introduced toasted baguette…I got green goddess, it was absolutely amazing, super delicious! Pic included.
Update as of January 2023: I don’t believe a word that sign says. As someone who’s been going to Panera since grad school years, I must just admit the food gets worse each time we visit. It is way overpriced for the low quality it has. Awful food! We go only when we have to.
In summary: Nice staff, great location and atmosphere, AWFUL food!

At times, too busy, you can wait forever, avoid lunch on Sat/Sun. Still understaffed, the kitchen staff are working way too hard…napkins were out once & they had a bathroom roll (see pic). The gentleman who cleans & and collects the dishes is too nice, an iconic character in this place.

I placed my mobile order a little after 1 and it was estimated to be done by 1:15. My order was set as drive-thru pick up but when I pulled in the drive-thru was coned off. I then went inside and was informed they had a 30 minute wait from other guests. It was about 1:20 so then I checked the app to check the status of my order and it wasn’t even being prepared yet. I asked the employee working the register and she basically said “ I dont know where it is. We are busy but i can go check.” She walks off for a bit then comes back with her manager. The manager was IMMEDIATELY rude. I had explained that I placed my order over half an hour ago with a 15 minute estimate and ordered to pick up at the drive-thru but it was closed. The manager huffs to the back for bit. When she comes back she tells me my order is number 4 or 5 in the system now. Okay Great so 40 minutes later and they are just now starting on my food. 1:50 and my app says the order is done but its not on the counter infront, i can see it sitting in a table in the back with my name clear as day. I walked back to the manager and told her the app says my order is ready and i think its in the back because its not in the counter. She walked to the back for maybe 15 seconds before saying “ I just dont see it at all. Just because the app says its done doesn’t mean anything. The app doesnt mean anything to us.” I then asked her to follow me to the pickup counter and pointed to the back way in the back ti the kitchen with my name on it and ask if its mine. She didnt say another word to me and proceeded to yell at her team in the kitchen for not putting it on the counter. Not one apology. An hour of my time wasted. And my food was cold. Beyond disappointed.

I love Panera but had an unfortunate experience today at lunch. I ordered a pomegranate, hibiscus ice tea that was made behind the counter and supposed to be ready with my lunch order. It was not ready so we asked for it. We were told they’d call out our name when it was ready. Twenty minutes later, it was still not ready. My mom nicely inquired about it. The male worker running the orders pulled it up from behind the counter and slammed it down in anger. When she said, “Is that it?,” he yelled “YEAH!” angrily at her. She was stunned but thanked him anyway. He said nothing. I totally understand mistakes happen. We weren’t even mad. That level of anger directed at my mom seemed completely out of line.

Panera Bread continues to build on their success of a more complete menu of sandwiches, salads, soups and mac, warm bowls, flatbread pizzas , sides and spreads, beverages and breakfast, and a line of baked goods. Once known for their made from scratch meals the company has switched to a streamline commercial approach that eliminates artificial preservatives, sweeteners and flavors from all their products. Staying true to their to bakery roots trained bakers continue to stock the shelves with freshly baked cookies, pastries, bagels, and a range of breads. One of my go to favorites is their You Pick Two, with a choice of a half sandwich, soup, salad, pizza and/or warm bowl. My first choice was the Half Toasted Frontega Chicken with smoked, pulled chicken, fresh mozzarella, salt and pepper, sliced tomatoes and red onions, fresh basil and chipotle sauce on Black Pepper Focaccia. Toasted on the outside with flavorful ingredients and a little extra tang on the inside. Second was the
Half Asian Sesame Salad with Chicken. Chunks of cold chicken, crisp
romaine, cilantro, toasted almonds, sesame seeds and wonton strips tossed in Asian sesame vinaigrette. Salad was fresh with all the right healthy ingredients. A chunk of French Baguette is one of the free sides and an enjoyable treat with its hearty chewy crust and soft inside. Standard interior with adequate seating, patio dining, self pay kiosks, soda and drink fountain, coffee bar and plenty of baked goods on display. Overall dining area was in need of a good cleaning as dirty tables went unattended and bored staff stood behind the counter.

Tables need cleaned up more often. Most tables available, were not wiped off so we had to clean it ourselves.
