We stopped into Deacon’s Restaurant & Bar (bonus: it also has a driving range!) and were pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. The breaded items, in particular, tasted like they were done in-house rather than out of a bag—crispy and flavorful.
One of my kids ordered the shrimp, steak, potato, and beans and absolutely loved it. The other ended up stealing bites off the plate and raving about it too, which says a lot. Everyone working there was patient and kind, which made the experience even better.
The back patio is nicely done—comfortable, welcoming, tables nicely spaced, open, good view .

One of our favorite spots. The food is consistently good, especially the Thursday specials. The homemade soups are always a win. Staff is friendly and attentive, and the cook truly knows what they’re doing.

Every time my family and I eat here it’s always a wonderful experience. The service is friendly, quick, and you feel truly cared for. The food is seasoned to perfection each time. We have ordered the classic burger, buffalo chicken wraps, pizzas, sides and everything always is prepared exactly as we envisioned. They have an extensive food and drink menu so there is always something for everyone in the family including the kids! The environment is great here. If you are looking for a restaurant that goes above and beyond for their customers look no further!

Place was jam packed for the Friday night fish fry. Host was very confused and messed up at least 4 seatings while we waited and 3 of us had to wait 2 times. Very loud in dining area. Food was very good and HOT. GREEN BEANS were delicious

I went to Deacon’s for the Friday Night Fish Fry with my Father and a friend of our’s. And it was a Very Good experience! The food and service were Excellent!! My neighbor works there and she waited on us, and she is a Very Good waitress !!! She does a Great Job. We were able to chat with her briefly before the crowd came in. We have been here several times before and it’s been Great experience each time.
I would recommend getting there a little early because it starts to fill up around 5:00. If your going out for a nice meal or a nice time on a Friday Night, or any night, I would recommend going to Deacon’s.

I have driven by this place many times, always wondering if it was for golfers or a place to eat. I decided to go there for breakfast and initially when we walked in at 10:45 was told to hurry if I wanted breakfast because they stopped at 11:00. Normally, I would just walk out and go to a place that did not restrict my relaxed morning with a time limit. What is this McDonald’s?!! You can’t make me eggs at 11:05? So, I took my chance that I could order my food in under 10 minutes. I had the special chicken fried steak and eggs with potatoes. I would say it is definitely a step up from a traditional breakfast place with the view, food, and plating. Clean, tasty, and well made. The lady at the counter initially reminded me of Flo at Mel’s diner as being someone who was a little rough on the edges. As it turned out, though, the more we interacted with her, the more we realized she was a friendly and warm-hearted person. She shared some history and gave us a full pot of coffee to drink as we sat outside watching the golfers diff the ball and make terrible drives! It was fun to watch. I will be going back to try lunch and dinner because they had specials every night, which sounded tasty.
