Here’s a review for Bravo Bravo Mystic based on your experience:
Great Ambiance and Views! We absolutely loved the atmosphere at Bravo Bravo Mystic, especially the location with its fantastic view of the iconic Mystic bridge. Plenty of convenient parking is definitely a plus. We were happy with the vegetarian appetizer options available, and the mocktails were also nicely done. The pasta dishes we ordered were clearly made with high-quality ingredients and were very tasty. While we enjoyed our meal, we would love to see some more innovative vegetarian pasta suggestions (ideally without meat or seafood, and even better if there were vegan options). Additionally, offering a greater variety of vegetarian pasta dishes on the menu would definitely entice us to come back and explore more of their offerings. Overall, it’s a lovely spot with delicious food and a wonderful setting!

This visit was incredibly disappointing, especially because we’ve enjoyed dining here many times in the past.

From the moment we walked in, the woman at the host stand seemed visibly irritated and unwelcoming. Her demeanor immediately set an uncomfortable tone for what should have been a pleasant evening out.

At one point, my four-year-old was walking to the bathroom and made a small amount of noise — nothing disruptive, just typical behavior for a young child. She turned and “shushed” him, then looked around at other tables with an expression that clearly showed annoyance that a child was present.

Aside from being rude, it was also incredibly insensitive. She has no idea whether a child may have special needs or other challenges, and reacting that way toward any child is inappropriate.

When I addressed how unprofessional it felt, instead of apologizing, she laughed and doubled down.

That moment alone ensured we will not be returning.

Mystic has many restaurants that treat families with kindness and basic respect. I strongly encourage ownership to consider A) how guests are being treated and B) whether this is truly the type of attitude they want representing their business.

We genuinely used to love coming here. It’s upsetting to say that won’t be happening again.

We came here for lunch while visiting Mystic, and were not disappointed. The food was all great, our server was friendly and quick, and the ambiance was modern (very gray/black/white). We sat next to the large open windows, which added to the atmosphere. We were brought complimentary bread and two dips to start – one was a tasty olive oil, the other was a delicious roasted red pepper dip that we could have easily eaten more of! We started with the crab cakes, which were exceptional (was our favorite part of the meal), then had the clams, the fried artichoke arugula salad, and a lobster roll with fries. The clam broth was very salty, but overall everything tasted great. Would definitely come back for lunch or dinner another time!

This was a great place to try! Service was excellent, atmosphere was a great vibe, dinner was absolutely delicious. 10/10 would recommend. The Rigatoni was DELICIOUS. Their desserts are definitely worth trying too. Would come back again!

Bravo Bravo is an institution and where all the locals go. The location downtown, interior design, colors, large windows, and attention to detail are all immaculate. Our server was very good and the food came out quickly. However, I was really disappointed with the food. The carnitas tacos were made with soggy pulled pork and not crispy at all. My burger was over cooked and over salted with soggy fries. I probably should have ordered pasta, but I wasn’t in the mood after eating too much pasta over the holidays.

I suspect it was an off night and/or the head chef was not cooking. I will probably give them another chance next time I’m in town. Or I may just go to the Oyster House, which has always been excellent.

Best food we had in Mystic! Our appetizer, meals, and drinks were 10/10! Vibe was great and service was excellent. Definitely recommend the crispy chicken entree and clam linguine entree, as well as the burrata appetizer – absolutely delicious!!

Loud atmosphere, people yelling to talk to each other. Charming place regardless. I loved the candles-nice touch. The food-the steak was pretty good, lots of flavor but different than any steak I’ve had before. The chicken parm was nothing special. Great service!

We’ve dined here many times over the years and always had positive experiences, which makes this visit especially upsetting.

From the moment we arrived, the woman who identified herself as a “manager” appeared visibly irritated and gave off an unwelcoming vibe. Unfortunately, that tone continued throughout our visit.

At one point, my four-year-old was walking to the bathroom and made a small amount of noise — normal behavior for a child, and nothing disruptive. She turned and “shushed” him, then looked around at other tables with an expression that felt like clear annoyance that a child was present.

When I addressed how inappropriate and unprofessional that felt, rather than apologizing, she doubled down and laughed in my face.

That response alone guaranteed we will not be returning.

Mystic has many restaurants that make families feel welcome. I strongly encourage ownership to take a serious look at how guests are being treated, because this interaction fell far below basic standards of hospitality and respect.

We truly used to enjoy coming here. Sadly, that won’t be happening again.
