Where do I even begin with the Chuck Wagon Restaurant? There are many great things to say.
1. The servers are friendly and quick to meet your needs.
2. Their drink cup size is you ain’t gonna finish it, but the servers will offer a refill anyway.
3. They have a buffet of some of the best southern comfort foods around.
4. There are so many funny signs on the wall that I swear they change them out because I am always finding something new and getting a laugh.
5. I have tried many things off of their menu and have yet to be disappointed.
6. For any fist time visitor or individuals that haven’t tried it yet, YOU HAVE NOT EVER tasted a cheese burger as good as the beloved Chuck Wagon Burger. This burger has been consistent every time I have ordered it. I don’t know how they season that meat perfectly every time or what that special chuck wagon sauce is made of, but I am sure it will make every taste bud in your mouth happy.

When I’m in Stuttgart, I always go to The Chuck Wagon. Great home-cooked food, friendly staff, and a classic local atmosphere. Always a good meal and a place I’m happy to come back to.

I’ve been to the Chuck Wagon many times, but normally during the week. I went with some family members today and raved about how good the food is to them, but now I wish I hadn’t. Granted, we got there around 12:20-12:30, and they close at 1:00, but the food on the buffet was pretty much non-existent. We were told that they would bring out more mashed potatoes, green beans, and fried pork chops, but they were out of chicken so there would be no more of it. There were some small scraps of meatloaf left but it wasn’t going to be replenished, either. Two of us ate what we could from the buffet and two ordered from the menu, but it was not worth the money we paid this time. They ran out of several essentials and even had to ask for plates, forks, steak sauce, and dessert (they put it up shortly after we arrived). Our waitress was extremely nice and, considering how busy they were, she was attentive. But, the rest of the meal was, well….meh. And, I think something was wrong with the green beans. They tasted like something had turned bad. I am very disappointed with this visit. I understand they were closing soon, but they had a restaurant still full of patrons when we left and two more came in as we were paying. Needless to say, I will pick my days and times to eat at the Chuck Wagon more carefully in the future, or I just won’t go back. It was too expensive and NOT good this time.

The food was delicious! My entire family had the burgers and fries. Staff was so friendly. They were short staffed and running a little slow (which we were fine with, we weren’t in a rush) but because they took a bit, the comped our entire bill. Didn’t charge us anything! It was incredibly nice of them. We did not expect that!!! Just a simple cafe style diner but the food was great!
