This place has seen better times, but we enjoyed our visit. It is a shame what the constant Federal Street construction has done to many of the downtown establishments.
Ryes had a meager selection of drinks on the shelf and beers on tap. The place has turned into a dive bar with limited, inexpensive drinks and a rundown environment. If they serve food, I saw no indication of it.

I really like this place. It’s always got a good atmosphere regardless of how many people are there. Plus I like whiskey. Usually the music is just right; loud enough to bring some energy to the room but quiet enough to carry on conversation. Seating is pretty generous too so it’s definitely a good spot to socialize. There’s a beer pong table right by the window that overlooks Federal Street and that’s pretty awesome. I’ve played against people I didn’t know and usually everyone isn’t hard to get along with when it comes to the rules.
It’s a pretty good spot for sure. I don’t have any hesitation taking new people there unless I know they’re into more of a club atmosphere. It definitely doesn’t have a club atmosphere (which is one of my favorite things about it).

I love this bar! This is the only bar that I actually enjoy going to downtown. They have an excellent selection of cocktails, the staff is very nice, and the atomsphere is perfect. If you are looking for a nice place to sit and have a well made drink, this is the place to go to in downtown Youngstown.

The drinks here are good, good prices. The atmosphere is very cool, and nice and cozy booths. The waitstaff is friendly and obliging, knowledgeable about thier menu. A great favorite of my husband and I’s!
