Excellent restaurant with a fun and warm atmosphere! Friendly staff and the food was delicious! We heard good things about their cheese curds with the raspberry jam and it did not disappoint. Very tasty and definitely recommend a visit if you’re in the area.

We love this place! They have a wonderful salad bar and a combo plate that we absolutely love with ribs shrimp and steak( all three were very good!) And at an affordable price! Every time we are in the area we make sure we stop in this establishment! We feel welcomed and relaxed! Highly recommended! Wish it was closer to home we would go there on the regular!

Fully stocked salad bar with amazing soup. Wait staff is friendly. Food was excellent and fast in coming out. Presentation was top notch and I even got to meet the owner who is onsite daily. And don’t forget to order the cheese curds with raspberry jalapeno sauce. Oh and the dessert. This is definitely a must go to place!!

Nothing else to say except good vibes for the Deerstand ! We drove mtl to Lake Tahoe and Lake Tahoe to Montreal from the 94 north !
We look online for a quick dinner and end up here it was behind our expectation !
for the price of $14.99 on Wednesday we had soup, fresh salad bar and hamburger steaks with smash potatoes it was delicious !
We also took the ribs as second plate !
After one month on the road driving everywhere in the state I guarantee for the food and quality versus the price you don’t see this anywhere else !

Hi. I came here around a few days after Christmas. I’m only writing the review now, 1/31/24. The cheesecurds were ordered, but weren’t the best, as the menu said. The dipping sauce was the best frankly, a raspberry sauce. The bill was very high, for what we ordered, and I was shocked! For two people, I’ve never paid $50-60! And I come from Crystal /Minneapolis, MN, but am quite frugal. Here’s pictures of the menu and food to help you out! Great waitress! The parking lot was sooo dark, I thought it was terribly unsafe. But hopeful it’s been updated since I came. Yes I take pictures of the bathroom, because my mom needs the bars in the stalls, and so I think it’s important for others to know they are there too!

Our group was up at Cuyuna doing some winter fat biking and we landed on The Deerstand as our dinner choice. Everyone in the group, teens and adults, had a good time.
Good menu, friendly, patient staff and great vibe overall. We will be back next year for sure!!

Excellent food. Large portions. Nice salad bar ($4 with purchase of another menu item). There’s a deck on the back for dining when weather permits. Beach volleyball court outside. A couple of video games for the kids. About 8 tap beers, including some craft beers. Large dining area inside along with large screens to watch sports games.

Mike and Kyle are the best bartenders up there. The upstairs has great food and environment. The downstairs where the regulars gather and is a fun and relaxing bar. With a limited menu.
