It’s true that this place is a hole-in-the-wall. It’s not suited waiters going around serving Dom. What this place is is, DELICIOUS. The service speed is exactly what you’d expect from a place that has to literary custom make your food every step of the way. The prices are cheap, compared to the strip. But at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that DJ’s had some of the best tacos I’ve ever had, in the world.

Super tasty. I tried the barbacoa and puerco con salsa verde tacos and they were great. Mexican is one of my favorite ethnic styles of food and I have tried many Mexican restaurants in different places – and the tacos here were miles better than at one of the “gourmet” restaurants in one of the glamorous casinos I had also just tried for >3x as much money. If you want some dynamite fast Mexican food then this is your spot. The staff was friendly and cool to me while I was there too. Looking forward to another visit some time.

So me and a couple of friends were looking for a place to eat on the strip. We came across this restaurant and we were excited to eat some tortas. We were about to order our food but we saw the beans were super dry and old. It looks like the beans were sitting there all morning and unmaintained! They looked so crusty.. The rice looked very dry as well. I was tempted to leave when I saw the food that was going to be pieced together. The. Deal breaker came when my friend pointed out the stove. It looked black, chalky, and just overall unsanitary. It looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in a few days! At that moment we decided that we were gonna leave and find somewhere else to eat. I really don’t know how this restaurant is still running!

The owner was nice. But I’m very sick and can not have spicy food. And what I ordered was supposed to be mild but was so hot . And my son’s order didn’t have the meat in it. I spoke to the owner and he said come back and he will fix it. Great! Wrong! He was not there and his daughter was and told me I ate the food and she wasn’t f oing to replace it. Then she said she wasn’t giving me my money back. Very rude. The other lady said the owner told her I would come by . she fixed my son’s food. . But the daily special is what was on the menu and that is what I had ordered. So great I’ll get one. Wrong . She took the sign down. So I had to get something else. I got a bowl and every thing I asked for she wanted me to taste it and make sure it wasn’t spicy, even the sour cream. Really. My bowl had meat rice , cheese and sour cream. . I should have just left. I called and asked for the number to the other location and the man said what is wrong, so I said I would call later. Then the lady called. Really ? Wanted to know why I was calling.. I had enough of them. I bought something else to eat ,so if you have a problem , your better off just cutting your losses, but if you call block your number. By the way she told me to go ahead and write a reveiw. I don’t think they have had much customer service training. I only gave it a 2 star because the owner was nice , othe r wise based on. The way the women acted it would have been nothing. I would not recommend this restaurant unless you knew the owner was there..

Based on the reviews don’t fall for this place. It’s so unorganized when it comes to serving the food, long waits and service is mediocre. Waited over 30 minutes for food a young guy was like a superman. He was cooking, preparing food orders. Kuddos to that! On the other hand they had a girl serving the food she looked like she was new. She didnt even know how to cut a quesadilla in half!!! It was like OMG! Theres a line out the door, 1 chef, 1 server plus the other lady as a cashier.
So, were waiting in line for over 30 minutes. Closing time being 12pm and its getting close to closing time by now from the long wait. By then going anywhere else is a lost cause. The Cashier she looked puerto rican was rude. No customer service as shes serving the food and charges for the transaction. Takes off outside letting people in line know that the food is almost out and mentions whats left. Then theres a sign no refills for soda, no napkins ( cashier hands them to you) no self serve. If you pay attention to the register from behind its filthy, grease, lint stuck on there. Its grouse!!! Save your stomach and go else where. Unless you want to get food poisining.
