This was my first time at Yaad Man. The restaurant is open for Dine in as well . I also saw customers picking up food, so they called ahead. I found out that Sunday’s is mostly seafood on the menu. They did also offer jerk chicken and jerk pork. I ordered the jerk pork with rice and peas and plantains. The food was delicious. Perfectly cooked. Generous portion. Even my picky son loved it. I will definitely return and try something else from the menu. The restaurant is a good size and super cute. I should have taken the photo before my son and I ate. Although, this shows how generous the portion was. The gentleman behind the counter was very nice too. I went back this Saturday and Sunday but they were not open. I tried again this Saturday and they were open. I ordered the ackee and salt fish and breadfruit. Excellent!! Breadfruit is old school, I am surprised they offered it. Did not disappoint.

Yaad Man is similar to most Jamaican restaurants in that not all items are available at all times. Once you know this is how it works, it’s not a problem because the food that’s available is fresh. Like another reviewer said, call ahead to see what’s available.

Food was really good! My mother ordered curry goat and I had the oxtail. We are used to the dishes being much spicier but these platters were perfectly made. I did not have to add salt, the meal was not salty at all- just perfect. Although I live in the area and can order from here anytime my mother does not- and she said she’d drive back to have their food again. I would definitely have again and I do recommend!

I rated Yaad Man a 2 out of 5 because their customer service is awful. The food is good but the service they provide is opposite. I have ordered from them many times, attempting to give them multiple chances and still receive the same outcome. I even placed a catering order last year for my husbands big 40th and paid in advance only for them to contact me on the day of to tell me they did not have all of my order. They ended up giving me extra rice however, their lack of acknowledgment was poor. It’s sad that they have good food but dealing with the attitudes you receive is not worth it. I hope this review encourages the owner there to take a look at how they wish the community to receive them and provide patrons who work hard for their money the service they wish to have.

Was placed on hold, and the girl who answered never came back. Got through 20 minutes later only to have the manager get on and get mad because I told him the issue. Then he wanted to give me an excuse about having 20 people inside, but they took so long to answer, I was pulling up by the time they answered and literally counted 8 people in the restaurant through the window. These restaurants forget they need customers to stay in business. They are not making money to run customers away being Nasty. I had 3 catering jobs that I will not take elsewhere. Always know how important your dollar is. Never allow any restaurant to think they be disrespectful and get your business. Im blessed and they just took their blessings away.

I tried Yaad Man yesterday for the first time. Delicious!! The Oxtails was so tender(can’t really find them like that anymore)the rice & peas and cabbage was fresh. The portion was nice for the price. I will be regular customer.
