First time here. An Uber driver recommended it lol as I was looking for a restaurant in pheonix that served african food. I loved the huge amounts of food ( as I am a foodie ) , affordable prices. Above all, the food was flavorful, and the host/ manager was very friendly. We will be coming back for sure.

OK, so we like trying different things, and we are not afraid to try anything. Waamo is a different place. We walked in and felt out of place but tried it anyway. The people we supper nice, helpful and easy to talk to. We ordered and food was quick. The food was great, we loved every bit of it. We really enjoyed the place and will go back. The atmosphere needs so.e help as it appears they setup on a very tight budget. I understand this because we all don’t have that kind of money and need to start somewhere. It really is a place to try, you might like it and go back.

Didn’t have the food I wanted. What I ordered was good. They were mopping and cleaning up so I didn’t experience the atmosphere exactly. I like this place generally. The reason they aren’t receiving 5stars is this isn’t the first or second time they didn’t have what I wanted on the menu.

Decent food but had a less than ideal dine-in experience. The interior of the restaurant felt run down and poorly maintained with broken tables. Our service, while friendly, was slow. The food itself was tasty so take out would be a good option.
