TOGO’S Sandwiches

  3.9 – 87 reviews  $ • Sandwich shop

When you go out of your way to create the world’s tastiest sandwiches, people tend to go out of their way to get their hands on them. And it’s been like this since we opened the doors of the first TOGO’S in San Jose, California back in 1971. We made the meatiest, most delectable sandwiches around. And people formed lines out the door, anxiously awaiting their turn for taste bud nirvana. Today, people still go above and beyond to get our sandwiches. Because for many, you can never go too far for a TOGO.

Counter-service chain offering made-to-order hot & cold sandwiches in straightforward surroundings.

The ladies that work here are very nice and polite but I ordered a sandwich by the number on the menu and I believe that’s where I messed up. I picked the Turkey and salami with cheddar and I just ordered it by the number it was on the menu and when I got home I opened it then realized I received a meatball sub. Definitely not what I wanted or ordered but of course I’m going to eat it since I bought it and it’s now too late. Very disappointed but I should’ve just ordered it by the name not the number. Hard lesson learned today.

Hard to come across a Togo’s sandwich shop for me these days so there was a bit of nostalgia enjoying my large number nine on wheat

No place to park but the food was exactly what you would expect from a chain sandwich shop. 5 Stars for the clean bathroom and replacing my spilled drink.

The staff working today really helped me out on my catering order. I placed a large order for a business meeting and they really helped me meet my timeline. I recommend this location.

I’ve gone here a couple of times, second time was better. I ordered a pub chicken sandwich the first time oh, and the chicken tasted either really dry or frozen. I ordered the daily special, the Italian, during the second time I visited and it was actually pretty good. The deli meats were definitely better than the white meat chicken that I ordered previously. The location isn’t so great, but it’s really close to my work.

Togo’s is an all time favorite. This one, in the heart of downtown San Jose in the paseo Padre area cross from San Jose state university is a great place to grab a quick bite. Their staff is friendly & fast and made my Asian chicken salad just right! That dressing is amazing tho..

The original Togo’s moved to this location some time ago. It’s fun to look at the memorabilia on the walls. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The staff handled a large volume of customers efficiently. The sandwiches had a reasonable quantity of meat and toppings.

I ordered sandwiches to pick up several times and I did not like their preparation, they prepared them differently as I wanted them. The bread is always very hard, not fresh. Little amount of the ingredients, very small sandwiches. I really like to eat in Togos, but I don’t like this specific place

Gor ripped off with the new pastrami cheese steak. Advertised as pastrami cheese steak but when I went to get it it was one or the other meat.
