We ordered pumpkin and chicken sambusas, plov and honey cake for our guests (15 people including young children). EVERYONE LOVED the food! Great and affordable Central Asian food! Lots of vegetarian options too

Great woman-owned local business here in Alexandria! We have loved everything that we have tried from there. I would especially recommend the khachapuri, but I don’t think you can go wrong in there. It’s a small shop, but perfect for some great carry-out.

The sambusas were cold by the time we got them. Would be nice if they had something to heat them up at the farmers market. The stall banner said $4.51 per sambusa, the written menu said $5.51, but then we were charged $6 per sambusa. Overall it was cool to try a sambusa for the first time but it was not mind blowing enough to go back for another.

Sadly, twice now the hostesses have been unfriendly and snobby. Takes away from the great food and service. Not sure we’ll give it a 3rd try.

I love their foods! Sambusas are great (I often take them to work for lunch)! Their energy bars are unique and great before workout. Definitely worth trying!

If you have any connection to Russia, Central Asia or Eastern Europe, Taste of Eurasia is your stop for staples. Tucked away in a tiny brick building near Potomac Yards, their menu is diverse. They sell sambusa (pies filled with beef, chicken, veggies, etc), honey cake, khachapuri, etc.

So much good food to choose from! The owners are some of the nicest people around, I met them at the Old Town Farmers Market and was immediately hooked. Had to go back for more less than a week later! Everything just tastes amazing and I keep trying new things every time I order.
