We stopped here for lunch during a long road trip. This is an excellent place to take a little break. The tacos were delicious! We liked the asada and chorizo tacos the best. The green salsa is super tasty. The queso is delicious but not super thick, and the bag of chips is on the smaller side, so would recommend getting extra chips. If it’s a pretty day, take your food down to the River Park and enjoy a beautiful meal at one of the picnic tables.

Impromptu stop that was going to simply be a turnaround because nothing else on the strip from the freeway to there looked appetizing. Surprisingly good. Wife really enjoyed her carne asada tacos, though the sliced radishes on the side were odd/unexpected. My burrito bowl wasn’t inline with the Chipotle version I had in my head, but it was quite tasty and probably more authentic.

Great food ruined by enough salt to kill a small horse. Disappointing. This place used to be the best around. Recommend Samantha’s, Ixtapa, or any of the taco trucks in town.

I came to visit my wife’s family in Mebane,NC. I live in GA original from SCal. I wanted tacos so I looked online and found really good review unfortunately for me this place was overpriced and the food was ok. I had 2 tacos asada 2 tacos chorizo 1 sope and 1 agua Fresca came out to a little over $18. I don’t mind paying if the food is worth it but to me it definitely wasn’t. It gets busy but honestly won’t come back. The beef was eighter old or overcooked. The chorizo had good flavor but they barely put any on the double corn tortilla. I would not come back to this place. People raving about the food here must like Taco Bell also.

Before finding Tacos Los Altos, I’d felt hoehum about taco or Mexican options in the triangle. But damn, they are seriously the best. If you’ve been looking for the best Tacos al pastor, here you go. Plus, everything on the menu I’ve had, and I’ve been at least 15 times, has been amazing. They even make their own corn tortillas.

The food is great but we’re regulars and one particular staff member who is usually manning the truck at night is Always so rude. She makes you feel like an annoyance when you’re giving them your money. Major bummer, makes me want to go elsewhere. Luckily we’ve got several great Mexican places in Hillsborough.
