Wow, what a unique location. This Starbucks does a great job of sticking true to the atmosphere of the town. The building and space seems not to have been modified or retrofitted much at all, leaving much of the original charm.

The coolest thing about this store is the display of flys and nats inside the case of mummified food. Someone tell Gary Nader ll to take a bow he has single handedly destroyed what use to be the Flagship store of our town. Here’s to hoping they do better with the 5th Street location.

I was here on a Sunday afternoon this summer and the service was outstanding. Cashier was a very friendly guy and the barista did her job incredibly fast. Can’t remember their names but management should be proud of their team.

I went in to Starbucks to order a holiday drink and get a reusable red cup. Starbucks no longer makes gingerbread or eggnog lattes. Boo!!! I found a site online that suggested adding 2 pumps whit mocha and 1 pump chai to a cinnamon dulce latte, reproduces the gingerbread latte reasonably well. It does, btw. That’s a *metric boatload* of sugar, however, and Starbucks used to have sugar free Cinnamon dulce syrup, so I thought I would get the cinnamon dulce part sugar free, and the white chocolate mocha and chai their normal, sugary selves. Because this is not an official holiday drink, no red cup for me. Which I’m not blaming the barista for that, she doesn’t make the rules, however, this cost over $8. Strikes me it ought to qualify. I order my extra ridiculous gingerbread latte substitute, receive it, take a sip, and while it does taste mighty fine, no *way* it only has half the sugar. I check the label on the cup. Sugar free is not mentioned. I ask the young woman who took my order, and was told Starbucks no longer Carrie’s sugar free syrups. She should have told me that when I ordered. I might have purchased it anyway, but I would have liked to have *known*. So, no reusable cup, and $8 spent on something that was not what I wanted. Hard to feel good about that.

Somewhat bizarre Starbucks location in a nice old townhouse. On a reecent seasonably cool fall day, the four massive integrated A/C units under the ceiling in the upstairs seating area were roaring loud enough to drown out the house music, with the windows all closed. (There’s also a gas fireplace in case they want to run that full blast to balance out the A/C.) None of the electrical outlets on the non-frosty side of the room were working.
