I had the brisket lunch combo with fried okra. Fantastic! Large portions for an excellent price. Brisket was hot and moist with a nice smokey flavor, very impressed. I’m normally not a bbq sauce fan but theirs is not overly sweet, it’s got a more subtle flavor that compliments rather than overwhelms. Staff is incredibly polite and professional, great experience,, gonna be back often.

Well we had heard about this place over the radio KDEE. They are.opened from 9am-3 pm. I got there around 11:15. I was kind of disappointed. Right away the stereotypes of soul food restaurants set in. Out of the main meats. No CATFISH, No RIBS!! They said they had tilapia….Tilapia?!! That was not even listed on the menu!! So any way I ordered the 2 meats 2 sides. Tilapia and smoked chicken. Long story short…Red beans and Rice, Collard greens were DELICIOUS……

Great Texas style food! They serve breakfast as well! Staff and owner, Corey, were personable and friendly! A variety of food to choose from…breakfast burrito, pancakes, biscuits and gravy, bbq meat plates, burgers, sandwiches, seafood, fried chicken and a variety of delicious sides. You definitely get your money’s worth! Come check them out! Support your local community and small businesses! Open to the general public, you do not need to be military personnel to enjoy this great food!

I love South Quarters Cuisine!! They never fail to hit it out the park! On my first visit I purchased a slab of ribs ( fall off the bone tender), and a pound of the beef (juicy, tender, smoked to perfection). It was Love at First Bite!! Two weeks later I was back for another slab of ribs. My plan is to visit every two weeks. Whomever gave this eatery a 4.3 stars obviously doesn’t have a clue about great barbeque and food.

I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was decent. I also got the 2 meat meal, Chicken and Brisket with Mac and Cheese and Potato salad. First the chicken was dry like it was cooked a couples day ago and reheated. Just awful. The sauce was ok. The brisket was decent, but it just wasn’t good. The sides were awful. Mac and cheese was terrible I didn’t taste the cheese and it felt like I was eating reheated mac and cheese. Potato salad had to much pickle or relish. Just awful. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

My boy told me about this spot, so I gave it a try. My expectations wasn’t that high to be honest. If I can’t see the grill I’m usually skeptical about it but boy I boy. It tasted hella good! Got the brisket and chicken with the red beans and rice with collard greens. Didn’t expect that at 10am. Give it a shot their menu is wide!

YUM! Brisket and pulled pork are delicious. Not dry like some other places. They also do catering services. I called them the morning of my last minute party and they were able to accommodate. Corey was super helpful and had great customer service. Everyone LOVED the food and there were plenty leftover even after everyone got seconds. I highly recommend them

Amazing customer service from the cashier and the Food comes out in a timely manner. I always get hot food that tastes amazing. Chef is very talented. Tastes & portions like I went to someone’s grandmas cookout & I’m the favorite grandchild. Very nice place to stop by for lunch or an early dinner. Everything is cooked/grilled/smoked to perfection. 10/10 would recommend. Better than any BBQ joint I’ve ever been to out here for sure !

Best chicken sandwich I’ve had since leaving the south. Seriously. Skip all the overpriced chair stores and head over to south quarters. I stopped in with my boys on a Saturday morning on our way to the McClellan air museum. The boys split a short stack plate and I had the chicken sandwich. Btw DO NOT SKPI ON THE SAUCE!
