Very traditional Shanghai foods, recommend the lion head meat ball, crispy fried fish, Shanghai steam bun. Traditional interior setup compact but lots of seating area, inside of a shopping mall, lots of restaurants and shops.

Great and authentic Shanghai cuisine. The dishes are flavorful and nicely presented. The food flavor is well balanced, not too salty and sweet, but the serving temperature is not hot enough. We like pretty much all the dishes we ordered except the XLB. Many reviews say the XLB is good but what we got today was obviously undercooked (see pictures) and we bit into raw meat inside so we sent it back to the kitchen. The redo version appeared better but the meat inside is like medium rare. The waiter was apologetic and suggested we switch to another dish. We didn’t ask for a discount and none was given. The service is good in general.

Came on a Sunday around 4:30. Not crowded at all. All of the dishes were excellent. There was one dish that came very late, after we were all done. Waitress said the person making it arrived late and they were making it from scratch. And it tasted like it, fresh and tasty. Even though we were all done and the dish just arrived, we finished it all because it was so good.

Went for a brunch with a couple friends, because this place was one of the few open early. The menu isn’t too diverse, but we were glad to find some very authentic Chinese style breakfast options like savory rice roll! The beef brisket noodles were also very tasty.

Authentic Shanghai dishes! Really enjoy some of the dishes. We came for Saturday lunch around noon and sat outdoor. Due to staff shortage, the service was tad slow but understandable since there were only two servers and is was rush lunch time. I really liked the Shanghai mushroom combo, savory soy milk, egg yolk tofu and the herbs with tofu skin salad.

My husband and I are from Shanghai. The food here is very authentic and they are well made and delicious. 小笼包 is very juicy but not oily. 生煎包 has very thin skin and full of soup. We have been to many Shanghai style restaurants in CA. This is the best so far based on the dishes we had. The restaurant is pretty spacious with good atmosphere. Service is good, too. Not sure why the rating is so low. IRight now it deserves at least 4.5!

We were originally from Shanghai, always looking for authentic Shanghai street food. We went this place on Monday evening around 5 pm, the restaurant was quit empty. We ordered 上海生煎and 家常豆腐. We loved their 生煎, bottom is crispy and inside is very juicy / tasty – miced pork, very authentic. I will definitely come back for more 生煎 and will try their steamed 小笼包 as well.

Came here on a Sunday around 1pm and the wait for the food is ridiculous. Took an hour before all the food is here. Service was so bad, asked water, didnt get water. Asked for extra bowl, didnt get it and end up walking up myself to get extra cups instead of bowl to use since i couldnt locate the bowls. Will definitely not come here again.

Perfect authentic Shanghai food! You will have lots of choices here. This is my first time trying salted soy milk. It opened my eyes LOL. Crab rice cake is perfect!

Horrible in basically every way. Generally, I have no complaints about service when going to a Chinese restaurant. My baseline expectation is only prompt, no-nonsense ordering and getting the bill, with absolutely no expectation for service attitude or warmth. But there was only 1 full time waiter serving the entire dining room. He was extremely flustered, throwing down plates and even bumping into customers/tables racing to finish orders. I was blatantly ignored at the front door for over 10 minutes before being seated. They are so short staffed nobody has time to give you recommendations: simply scan a QR code and to order. I heard this place was pretty authentic and ordered the sweet and sour mandarin fish to truly test how good they can be. And that order was overlooked, having me wait for over 45 minutes.
