There was a wait for a table at lunch on a weekday, so the locals must enjoy this place. The staff were friendly and the service quick. My only disappointment was that my chicken was a little on the tough side. It had decent flavor and the portion was on the larger side of expectation. My friend’s burger looked like the better choice and he did enjoy it. Will likely be back in this area again and give it another chance.

The Sandcastle has been around decades now, and it’s as good as ever. Value for your money, quality of food, quality of service, it’s the quintessential New Jersey Diner, and they stuck with it all through the pandemic. Great burgers, great entrees, a classic club, what more do you want from a diner?!! Lovely location, clean and comfortable setting inside, it’s really a dying breed the NJ Diner but The Sandcastle is the paradigm.

Very cute place. It had a very towny vibe which I appreciate a lot despite obviously not being from there. Service was fast and my waitress (wish I could remember her name 🙁 ) was great! I got the Hot Apple Waffle with a side of Canadian bacon and my boyfriend got the Hearty Breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs. Great food, not expensive, and very filling.

One of the best diners my wife and I have been to in a while. No way you’ll ever be disappointed if you stop by. Food was so amazing, service was impeccable and the atmosphere was just perfect. So much that I loved that you just can’t get elsewhere. Come try them out and you’ll love it!

The texrbook definition of a diner. Nothing fancy. Good food. Nice desserts. Excellent attentive service. Clean environment. The CHICKEN FLORENTINE is a standout. A large pounded piece of chicken breast wrapped around a spinach,feta and onion mixture. Very good.

Food was fine. Staff complained about the ‘boss’ being on their backs about a few things. One staffer said the ‘boss’ doesn’t like to see customers sitting with just drinks. We felt as though we should not chat before ordering and that we shouldn’t linger for conversation I’ve a beverage after our meal. The diner was not too full and the staff looked like they were handling their tables well and easily. There was no wait to be seated. But we felt that we were not welcome to a relaxing lunch, but that we were expected to order, eat and then leave.

Food was great, food came out fast, we had seating immediately. Our server could use some training, nothing was picked up from our table, nobody was refilled, it was a pain to get her attention, we were not checked on. when we ordered coffee and dessert we planned to sit in with those items but they were presented in togo containers while our whole table was still a mess from our previous items. on our way to cash out we were not acknowledged but we did get to watch her giggle with her coworkers playing games on their phones by the entrance.
