If you’re looking for a quiet place to enjoy a very delicious meal, than Sahara is your place of zen! I’ve been happy with how consistent their meals are any time of the day or week. It’s a gem of a place and I’d recommend checking them out for authentic Egyptian dishes!

We’ve now been twice and really loved everything we got. Ordered takeout online and it’s usually ready pretty quickly. Some of the items on the app don’t have the best descriptions (recommended improvement on their part), though all the food has been delicious (some items were larger portions than we expected.) The mixed grill was great and today we picked up the batata harra which was amazing.

What a hidden gem! Came in for a late dinner and all questions were answered regarding different foods. Ended up with chicken shawarma and the shrimp kabob – both meals were excellent. The side sauces were so tasty! I highly recommend and hope more people take the chance.

Great food and a solid price. The chicken we got was so tender and soft with lots of flavor. Ran into this spot last minute and it was a great find. Definitely recommend checking it out.

Went to breakfast with my family, the food, the service, & the atmosphere was 100% perfect. My nephew is 3. He barley ate & the chef noticed he would only eat the macaroni so he personally made him chicken tenders & fries with ketchup packets ready to go with no order necessary & once we were done they bought a delicious plate of sweets on behalf of the restaurant! Mashallah. Just yummy!!!

A wonderful meal. The Lamb Mendi had lots of tender lamb and rice and came with a cup of lentil soup to start, a small salad, a spinach pastry, and a cup of tea to end the meal. Easy to get to by DASH bus. The exit is on Van Dorn, so you have to walk around “back” to get to the entrance, where there’s parking.

The food was very cold. The rice and lambs are tasteless. I asked if the rice was spicy, and the rep told me no, but she will give me a spicy sauce on the side and come home to find out the spicy sauce she claimed to be spicy was just creamy and nasty. I wasted 55 dollars on two tasteless courses. NEVER AGAIN!!! Both food went to the trash.

10/10 Would recommend. My boyfriend and I have never had this type of food before and they made it an experience to remember. Staff made us feel so welcome and were informational on their culture. The food was so perfect. We had eggs bill kafta, chicken shawarma bites, tawook, harissa cake, and kunafa and we would order it in the future. Not from the area but if we are in the area again, this is a must stop.
