This was not authentic whatsoever. They put the tamales in the microwave instead of steaming them. I was beyond disappointed in the tres leches cake because it is my favorite. The atmosphere was lovely though in the public market.

No flavor for the meat. Soft taco shells weren’t even cooked. $4 for just 1 tiny street taco. There was nothing on the taco. Just flavorless meat and a tiny uncooked soft taco shell. Staff was rude. They are supposed to text you when you order is read but no text so you food just sits.

So good! We come to Lenexa Public Market probably every other week. We live in Olathe but it is worth the trip. Red Kitchen is amazing. We have had the breakfast burritos, absolutely recommend the chorizo if you want a kick. The carne asada and pork street tacos are to die for. My wife is a big guacamole fan, you know, even buys it at chipotle. Red Kitchen has cracked the recipe. It’s good all around. If you want to get it to go, I recommend the tamales. Again, so amazing. It’s a shame we can only give 5 stars.

Quaint spot on the Market Place. We had breakfast burritos. The wife had sausage and chorizo for me. The taste was just incredible. Alejandra, the owner, came out to talk with us. She suggested we try the carne asada tacos. My wife called them, “heaven on a plate.” To go, we got 2 chili relleno burritos. Again just outstanding.

The pastor tacos were fantastic! All of the ingredients were very fresh!! Very cute little stand and the lady who owns it is awesome! She helped me decide which tacos to get and asked how I liked them. I would highly recommend coming here for a quick lunch or any other time!

Red Kitchen Tamales is always, and I mean always such a wonderful meal. Alehandra puts her heart and soul into her craft and it shows. These are authentic Mexican recipes that taste like you have been invited into her family’s kitchen for a family meal. The Tamales of course are delicious. Packed with all the authentic flavors of Chihuahua region, these are a staple in our home. The breakfast burritos are also a favorite. They’ve been named a Best Burrito in KS and with good reason. The Sonoran style tortillas put these burritos above the others in the region.
