The menu was unique and fun. Prices are pretty reasonable, too! It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and the atmosphere is cool and fun.

Last day in Virginia Beach and needed a breakfast place and my Google search led me to Ray Rays and I couldn’t be more pleased. There was no wait because we got there 30 min early cause I forgot to look at the time it opened. We were greeted by Cammie (like in Street Fighter ) she sat us and took care of us. She provided us with recommendations and laughter.

This place is a nice little restaurant just off the main strip. The food was incredible and hardly any wait. We went to a competitor our first day at the beach and had over an hour wait, we went here the second day and went back every day we could! The food filled you up, was unique, and was reasonably priced. All the staff were kind to us and my baby. I can’t stress how much my wife and I enjoyed this place our week at the beach. Give it a try!

Every experience I have had at Ray Ray’s has never been less than stellar. The service is kind and friendly. The food is unmatched with variety and flavor. This restaurant also embodies recipes that feel like home to the owner and his son while also sharing the culture experience through their food and beverages. I highly recommend this restaurant for local Ms and visitors as their staff takes the utmost care of their customers. If you stop in, don’t forget to try the lumpia, Ube Pancakes, and Red Horse (Filipino beer)!

My breakfast visit to this place was mostly average. The service was standard, neither exceptional nor disappointing. The much-anticipated ume pancake turned out to taste like a normal pancake. However, the standout dish featuring potatoes, chorizo, and assorted vegetables was truly excellent. I unfortunately don’t remember the name of the dish.

Very nice home cooked breakfast for a decent price and great service! If you’re in the area of Virginia Beach its easy to miss the location of this restaurant but it’s located right next to the hotel mayflower and it’s worth the visit! If you’re looking for some home cooked, good quality breakfast with a friendly environment this is definitely a great place!

Lechon Pork belly combo for $15 is a ripoff. Tidbit chunks of pork about 1/4 cup looked liked deep fried till it’s brown so really dry, but that’s not what really killed it. The rice! It’s cold, dry, and hard. Like it’s leftover rice from last week. It should be steamy and fluffy. I would have returned if it was a dine in, but it was a take out and I don’t like going back returning stuff. Ube pancakes doesn’t taste like ube, but it was good. $13 though. Oceanfront price I guess. $5 somewhere else, and it’s better tasting. Kiddos bowl was good. So if ever I go back, I’ll avoid anything with rice since they don’t know what does a perfect rice look like. I looked around what people ordered and they looked good, so maybe just avoid the lechon and rice. I wish I remembered to take photos. ☹️

This is a hidden gem to me. My brother lives in VA Beach and said to try this place. He knew the owner who is a fellow Filipino. The longganisa platter I highly recommend. My son had the spam platter extra crispy. The gravy on the rice was unique twist for a Filipino breakfast but it works very well with the meal. Highly recommend to try this place as they offer other items on the menu. Only did take out as we didn’t have time to dine in. Also, I was hoping they offered tocino but didn’t see it on menu. Will be back here whenever we come visit my brother again.

The breakfast here at Ray Rays is phenomenal!! We are outside and our waitress was super friendly. The breakfast burrito is as big as your head! Eggs cooked perfectly, french toast was the best I had while down in VA. 10/10 for food and overall experience. This will be our stop for breakfast on our next beach vacation!!
