I came into to visit some family and they decided to come to this pier 88 normally they go to the one in Hampton. We had a large group so I was happy they were able to accommodate us. It took us about 20 minutes to be seated but when we got seated it took a long time for someone to take our order hence the 4 stars. But then when Bianca came she got our drinks out very quickly and got our order in fast. It did take a while for the food to come out but the specials were great. 1 lb of crab legs, 1/2 lb of shrimp, 1 corn & potatoes for $25 you can’t beat that. I really like how they have different flavors of sauce that seafood is cooked in and you can mix it together. I thought the favor was great compared to other restaurants. I will definitely come back when I’m in town again.

Great food and service. Will definitely go again this time had fried trio basket, next time look forward to trying a boil. The drinks were great as well. A good time was had by all 3 of us and the prices are very reasonable. We didn’t have to wait to be seated.

Notice on blackboard that there is no happy hour on Fridays. Was handed a menu and a secondary happy hour menu. Confused, we asked waitress if there was in fact happy hour pricing available as per the menu and she says yes. We proceed to order a drink and appetizer from this menu as well as our dinners. When check arrives it’s at regular pricing. She gets manager (the bartender) who says there is nothing she do. A man returns (Jason) that explains there is no happy hour but we explain we only ordered the drink and appetizer after being told that yes the happy hour was in effect. He says credit card was run so to just say his name at future visit and get a discount. Refused to give a card or paper we could bring to show in future. No way to run a business or give customer service. Food good but DJ in bar area way too loud.

The service was amazing, the food on the other hand was ok. The order a boil and some wings. The food was fresh however it lacked flavor. I ordered the wings in the hit and garlic sauce; I saw the chili flakes but there was absolutely no taste to it. The shrimp and mussels in my boil were super fresh but again no flavor. It didn’t taste like anything. The sauce was really thin and packed seasoning. I can’t say I’d try it again.

My experience here was a good one. It was early afternoon so the restaurant was fairly empty. I was seated promptly by “Sandy”. I think that was her name. There was only one waitress and she was working very hard. “Sandy” noticed that It would be a little while before our order would be able to be taken. She took the liberty of taking our order so that we wouldn’t have to wait. I also noticed that Sandy had many jobs. Making drinks helping with the food and everything. Kudos goes out to the her and her staff. I’ve been here several times before but have never been treated so well. The food came out fast and was fresh and hot. I ordered a shrimp boil. I also ordered a long Island. The drink was strong as i like it and the boil was tasty. It was soo good I forgot to take a picture. My daughter ordered the shrimp kids meal with a smoothie. She really enjoyed hers as well. If you want great drinks, service and food go visit them. You’ll be glad you did.

Took a quick minute to get seated while they got tables ready, no big deal. Table behind us seated a minute or two later. Waitress talked to the table across from us that was finishing up, then went to get to-go boxes for them, She took the drink order for the table behind us, and brought their drinks, not a peep to us. Walked out after sitting for longer than we needed. Maybe she was having an off day.

The food was delicious! Our server Missy was amazing. The place was super crowded and noisy. We went on a Friday night and when we first got there, there was a large crowd of people at the hostess station. Seemed a bit unorganized. But when we sat down, all was good!

Pier 88, you to be such a nice place to enjoy a great meal. I was there last March 25, 2023, for dinner, and the waitress’ were very nasty. The music was so loud it put your waitress in a bad mood. They could not function properly. You are hiring people with no soft skills. This restaurant is “Ghetto.” we are passing the word around Langley AFB Base; Pier 88 is no longer a place for our members to go.

We all got different seafood boils, and the food was AMAZING. It was a really long wait, but worth it. The music set a fun atmosphere, but could be too loud at times. Don’t be surprised when your bill is higher than expected, as the tip gets added automatically. Please note, this review is from an out of towner who dosen’t eat seafood boils regularly and neither did my group. The most exposure we had before was Red Lobster.
