Little hole in the wall with outstanding service and food ! The Piccadilly grill has been in business for nearly 80 years ! Me and my family have owned it since may 1 , 2019. I run the restaurant as a one man operation , my name is Abed or as the regulars say “diesel”. I grew up in a restaurant it is in my dna. I love what I do and I believe it shows in the food . If you’re looking for a hearty flavor full breakfast or lunch . This is the place for you ! Call in orders are welcome and dine in customers are welcome . Anyways I hope everyone stays safe during these tough times and remember eat local! Small business owners could use your help during this pandemic.

This place blew my mind. Fantastic food with extremely generous portions! I don’t think I saw a single person who ate everything put in front of them. This was a one man show and he gave my wife and I better service than a restaurant with a full wait staff. Great coffee, great food, great service, great vibes. Definitely coming back here.

So we were in town and seen the previous reviews of this place and figured we’d give it a shot. We are sorry we did. The previously posted pictures are not a true representation of the place now. The menu was hand written with about 8 options on the wall not the blackboard you see in previous pics. I would DEFINITELY not go back.

Winchester is my home town, and there was a time Piccadilly Grill Diner was my favorite eatery in it. When friends would visit from elsewhere, the first place I dragged them was here. No longer, I’m afraid. I’ve been a patron of the cook, Abed “Diesel” Warden, for more than 7 years, since his family owned the Apple Valley Cafe up the north end. I followed him here when that establishment closed, but make no mistake, the Picadilly Grill you see in the Google photos above is gone. I don’t know what’s happened to Diesel, but both him and his business appear to be a diminished reflection of their former selves. Everything has been cut to the bone to help him manage as a one-man show, including a simple, 7-item menu written on the wall in Sharpie. I found my breakfast depressing and awkward, and not at all what my friend excitedly talked about when he was adding photos of bridges on the Grill’s walls to represent “the bridge between my food and my customers”. The meal itself was decent enough, but nothing close to what I know Diesel is capable of. It saddens me beyond words to say that I cannot recommend this restaurant, and I will not be back.

An amazing first time experience! Been looking forward to trying this cute little dinner for a while and I’m glad I finally did! Portions were very large in a traditional diner style. Everything perfectly cooked and seasoned. Staff was very welcoming and kind. Large menu selection with a little bit of everything for everyone. Highly recommend their omelettes and their breakfast potatoes! Heads up, it’s a small location, so if you’re in a rush, ordering ahead may be best.

Abed was a one man show. He took orders without writing them down, cooked and took care of everyone.

Read the reviews and stopped on our way back from vacation. This “diner” is counter service only. No tables. I got the “Veggie Mess”… And it was very good. Too much for me to eat in one sitting, so I brought some home for later. My wife got the buffalo chicken sandwich. Her review is not as good as mine… Stick to breakfast, and you can’t go wrong. The chicken sandwich was very underwhelming… . Frozen chicken patty… Too small to be worthwhile. Diesel (I’m assuming he’s the owner) worked quickly and checked in with everyone as he attended to talking orders, clearing dining areas, cooking, ringing up the bills, etc. He was really great!!! It was very busy while we were there … And he said it was busy all day. He was out of several menu items, which was a total bummer.

Certainly won’t step foot back in this place. I walk in, the gentleman asks what I would like to drink. I ask for tea and he says no tea here. I ask “aren’t you the owner? You’re the guy in the photos on the website.” He just shrugs his shoulders and asks if I’m ready to order. I mentioned that I was waiting for the rest of my party to get here and we were looking forward to the eggs Benedict. He replies, I don’t have that. What I have is on the board. (Maybe 8 items total) I ask when did the menu change because it’s on the website. He shrugs his shoulders again and turns his back. As I watch the only other customer get his food, he asks for mustard and the answer is again, “i don’t have that.” Then walks away to scrape the cooktop … THIS IS AN HONEST REVIEW. Good luck to future customers. I gave 2 stars for food because the burger smelled good.

This place is great. There are about 17 stools. They were almost full when we got there. The four of us finished filling the stools. Diesel was our Chef. He was fantastic. The took the orders, he cooked the food, he got our drinks. He cleared the plates. He was very organized. Ok….the food was fantastic. We ordered 3 Frenchie Platters and a Country Fried Steak Platter. The Frenchie consisted of 3 slices of French Toast, fresh home fries, a protein(bacon, ham, sausage, scrapple, or corned beef hash), and 2 eggs any style. This was enough for 2 if not 3 people to split. Diesel cracked the eggs one handed. He would make the french toast batter fresh. He was great on the grill. Watching him was a pleasure. The Country Fried Steak Platter consisted of a breaded steak patty(yes it was frozen but it was one of the best ones I have had), 2 eggs, home fries with onions(cooked onions), gravy over the Steak, and toast( buttered and grilled not in a toaster). I like my fried eggs over hard, break the yolks, cooked well done. Diesel is one of the first cooks who cooked them the way I ordered them and they were perfect. I have had home fries other places and when you order them with onions the have added them at the end and they are not cooked and browned like the potatoes are. Well not here…he cooked them with the potatoes and they were fantastic. This was out first time there and it WILL NOT BE OUR LAST time.

First time visiting and definitely not the last! Very cozy little diner with an L shaped counter. There are no tables; but, do not let that discourage you from having a great meal. Actually sitting at the counter is part of the fun as you get to watch the Owner / Chef in action and he is super fast and efficient on the grill.
