Panes Bread Cafe is a gem. If you’re in the Lakeview neighborhood, do yourself a favor and stop by for breakfast or lunch. The omelettes and sandwiches are delicious. The bread is so fresh. Panes accepts both cash and credit card. Very good meal and very affordable. Highly recommend!

A true neighborhood gem for breakfast (weekends only), lunch and dinner. Their food is consistent. It can get busy but is worth the wait. What sets them apart is their service. We didn’t realize they closed early before Thanksgiving and we were hoping to pick up a dessert treat. 10-15mins after they closed, rather than ignore us as they were cleaning, they re-opened to let us purchase the treat. We need more places like this!

south American inspired sandwiches and confectioneries. very fresh bread. even the simplest rolls are excellent. try their weekend brunch. this is the only restaurant chili I’ve tasted that is not salty. call ahead for their daily pasta and sandwich specials. cash and check only.
