Everything seemed fine, however while eating my meat skillet I noticed a freezer burnt taste. I didn’t make a fuss, just ate what I could. I really appreciated the kids Mickey mouse pancake with a paid adult meal. It was really enough for 2 people! I appreciated the bagel. My coffee was filled once during our meal. My friend with me loved her food so I’m sure she’ll give a different review… My daughter however had the same freezer burnt taste in her sausage…. I say it’s worth trying for your own experience.

We ordered Greek chicken wrap and the corn beef Ruben sandwich. I loved the chicken wrap and lime rice soup. My hubby had a corn beef ruben sandwich with salad. He didn’t like the sandwich it was oily, but it had a good taste. The manager was out and speaking with everyone, asking how the food was. Which is OK. However, her approach is a bit creepy. Lol, the food is good. The service was fast and very welcoming. The owner/ manager needs to find a good approach like hello I’m so and so, can I ask you a few questions? But not hover and come back 3 more times.

I was really surprised by this place. The food is excellent. I guess I was expecting bland, basic menu items because of the name. The portions are giant. The price is more than reasonable. The staff is friendly. I’ve been going back often since I found out about this place.

Wow… I hadn’t been to this diner in a while. My husband and I have always enjoyed it, but they have improved it even more. The food was amazing. The variety on the menu and new meals were impressive. Our waitress was top-notch. She was very friendly and attentive. When our food arrived fast and it was piping hot and homemade. We both tried something new, and it was delicious. They owner Samantha was out walking around the dining room, and she stopped by our table to say hi. She was so friendly and kind. We talked about the restaurant and the history of it. She has added some really amazing desserts and breads from a local reputable bakery that she also owns. The fresh breads, cakes, and pies are the best you’ll ever get. They have extended the restaurant hours, too. We were the last ones in the restaurant that evening, and she walked us out like a family member would do at home and gave us some freshly baked baguettes to take home. I highly recommend you try it. You won’t be sorry as this kind of quality and service is hard to find these days.

Breakfast was amazing! I loved the way they cook their potatoes. I have not seen it done this way anywhere else. Was very happy to see seating was available as this place is always packed, and I can see why. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Will definitely come back.

We really wanted this place to be delicious. It was just average. The country potatoes, the eggs, sausage, and the French toast slices were simply average. They weren’t bad, they just weren’t great. The potatoes could have used some seasoning. There’s not much you can do to an egg, so I can let that one slide. The French toast slices looked like they were going to be amazing, but it ended up being spongy if I go back again, I’ll try the biscuits and gravy and maybe the country fried steak, but this was nothing to write home about. It has a lot of space in the restaurant is very clean. The staff were very nice.

Always an amazing time at Nicks diner! I have never tried the infamous cinnamon roll but we got lucky today and it was DELICIOUS! Thank you Peaches for super service and making the atmosphere that much more inviting! We will be back for date mornings at Nicks diner!

Was there a couple weeks ago, ordered eggs over medium well, home fries well done, I’ll let you guys be the judge. We were sitting there for 10-15 minutes without the waitress acknowledging us, when my cousin and I were about to go the bar, maybe get recognized by the other 3 waitresses that were gathered around at the bar. We got yelled at by the waitress and said she was busy, why set us there then? Received my food, which was nasty looking, the white of eggs still running, the potatoes all not cooked. She took my food and put a few pieces of well cooked potatoes on top, to make it seem she did something. Mr. Samantha didn’t even comp. the food, he didn’t do squat, and was asking me what to do. I said find out who messed up the order, either the cook or the waitress and take it out of their pay. I’m not going to wait another half an hour to get another plate. I’ve been a long time patron, and now looking at Denny’s again.

This was the absolute worst experience of my dining career. I’ve managed restaurants for 20 years and I’ve never seen this kind of disregard for the customer. Absolutely horrible from the service to the management. We ordered takeout and somehow they didn’t have our order. However, the person answering the phone quoted my wife a 20 minute wait time and ensured that it would be ready. My wife double checked the order and location. We showed up and nobody seemed to know what happened, absolutely disregard for the customer. Complete deer in the headlights. We will never go back to this establishment again I would urge anyone in Surprise Arizona or the surrounding areas to not visit this establishment.
