Just ordered some pizza from this place today for me and some co-workers. Ordered 2 grandma crust style pizzas, one with ex cheese, ex pepperoni, the other was a supreme (forgot what they called it). I am here posting about it because it was that good. It was tasty, fresh, crispy, and they do not skimp on toppings like many places do. This really hit the spot and everyone loved it. This will be my new pizza place.

Michelangelo’s was hopping on a Saturday night! The pizza was good, not great. The cheese was melted but not bubbly or golden. The sauce was good. The garlic knots were the standout of the meal! Will I go back again, probably not. I think there are better options. But it was good and staff were responsive.

Finally after living in Florida for 3 years from NY I found an excellent place to get Calzones. We stopped in Friday night after we tried to order online but needed to customize our order and just wanted to see the place. We were greeted with a large friendly, happy, staff. That right there speaks volumes. They asked if we were eating in or to go. We were going to be to go but they were so kind and it was a great atmosphere we stayed to dine in. I had the most amazing Calzone. The perfect size! Quick and tasty. Really ingredients. My husband had pasta and loved it. This will be our go to! I can’t wait to try the Sicilian pizza! I am so critical when choosing places to eat. I’m fussy and need to customize stuff snd they did it perfect. Highly recommend.

Great mom & pop to grab your favorite Italian dishes, pizza and other doughy pizza parlor delights! My husband had been eating lunch there a few times a week since he worked in Sarasota and been telling me how fabulous it was…. We were finally able to go together tonight. We walked in an hour from close and I asked if they were still making dinners (afraid to make them cook for me if they cleaned the kitchen prep for the night) and she assured me the full menu was still available. I ordered the Chicken Piccata dinner served with salad and it was ginormous!!! Hubby got cheese pizza (enough to bring home to the kids!) And garlic knots. The knots were large garlic rolls, soft and baked to perfection! Everything always delicous. Our server was a sweetie. And they had the best tasting fountain Coke!!!

No visit to Sarasota is complete without a visit to Michelangelo’s! The food is great, the staff has always been very friendly and welcoming. Pizza or any of the pasta dishes we have tried have all been great. The pizza reminds me of my many years in New York City.

Pizzerias should stick to pizza. Wanted to try someplace different and chose this one bc Uber eats gave them 4.7 stars, ( Google gave them 4.2, more accurate) so going on thy 4.7 rating we decided to order some pasta. I ordered the chicken piccata but, what I got was the most disgusting plate of slop that I wouldn’t serve to hogs and even they would probably turn up their noses just looking at the mess. Chicken piccata is supposed to have THIN slices of chicken lightly floured and sautéed in butter, with garlic, lemon and capers. What I got was 2 whole chicken breasts in some kind of broth with a few scattered capers buried under a mountain of ARTICHOKES and spaghetti noodles. Oh, and 2 lemon slices on top of the whole mess. No garlic flavor or lemon flavor, or buttery sauce, no, just layers and layers of artichokes and watery broth, most likely from the artichokes, soaking through the chicken. They need to change the name to Michael’s, not Michelangelos, bc I’m pretty sure no self respecting Italian has never set foot in that kitchen.
