Menya Jiro’s signature ramen combines pork tonkatsu and chicken broths, with soy sauce and other seasonings imported directly from Kagoshima. This is ramen as it should be: perfectly balanced, umami-packed, brimming with springy handmade noodles, and topped with slices of slow-roasted chashu pork.

The food was okay, and service was pretty quick, especially given that it was getting close to closing.

It is just okay! The broth was mild and the spice was not so rich! It was just alright – the whole experience! I got Delux Sakurajama Ramen – and it was a huge ramen but the flavors didnt combine together

What’s more heartwarming than a nice bowl of steaming hot ramen on a cloudy day… NOTHING THAT’S WHAT! Menya Jiro is here to give you the warmth you need in the cool summer days.

Decent ramen at an okay price. Serving size was a bit smaller than I would’ve liked but given the neighborhood it was understandable. The soup is less greasy than Santouka and the noodles are wider/chewier. Also no wait on a Saturday whereas the line for Santouka was out the door – I’ll happily stop by again.

Went on a Sunday for late lunch. Place was pretty dead because it was past the lunch hours. Definitely one of the better tasting Japanese ramens in Boston and surrounding areas. The broth is to die for. Server was quick to take down and put in the order but the food took a while to come out so taking one star off. Overall a great experience though.

It’s pretty good ramen. I thought the serving size could have been just a little larger, but it was fulfilling and tasty

Quite disappointed with the visit to Menya Jiro as I was looking forward to their positive reviews. Overall I don’t think the Jiro Monster was worth the visit but at least the service was good and the noodles were hot when they arrived

I believe this Jiro Ramen has nothing to do with the ramen chain named Jiro. They serve different ramen and different pan-fried dumplings. I would not say that the food is not good at all, but if you want to find what you once had in Tokyo, you’d better not have a high expectation.
