COMMERCIAL SEASON: From the beginning of October until the end of December we are prowling the waters for fresh local Virginia Beach Shrimp. Available straight from the back of the boat to the dock! Located at the Virginia Beach Fishing Center, 200 Winston Salem Ave. VA Beach VA 23451 After Shrimp season ends the Marcia B will begin fishing for Dog Sharks and eventually move into Tuna Season in the early Spring. CHARTER SEASON: From the beginning of June until mid-September, you will be prowling the inshore waters of Virginia Beach for a variety of species, but Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, Redfish, small Sharks, Flounder, and King Mackerel are the most frequent catches.

Booked a trip with Captain Kurt and first mate Braedon for my son and I. We had a phenomenal time. My son is 10 and Braedon was a great coach and supporter to give him confidence and to not be intimidated with our prey. Captain Kurt was great! We took our 3 kids (5,11&12) out for their 1st time deep sea fishing. He was quickly able to put us on fish. Each kid was able to catch several. After the kids caught several we went further out for bigger fish. He was very knowledgeable about fishing. I would recommend Captain Kurt for your deep sea fishing trip while in Virginia Beach.

Went out with Kurt on the Marcia B for the 4 hr inshore trip with a group of 4 guys and one child (9yrs old). Kurt told us the fishing has been slow but he is very knowledgeable and was able to get us some fish. We caught 13 mackerel and 1 blue fish on our outing. This was our second time booking a trip with Kurt and we will for sure use him again.

do not waste your time or money. you’ll book a trip with captain kurt only for a kid who doesn’t even look old enough to drink show up and talk to his friends on his phone the whole time. complete lack of effort. maybe he doesn’t know how to tie a knot? idk, but he didnt change lures or tactics at all, just sat on his phone talking about tik toks. if there was less than a one star option I’d pick that. complete waste of time and money.
