Awesome Mexican food. We loved AJ’s and were sad to see it was no longer around, but when I read some of the reviews (and saw the pics of the food) of the new place, we just had to try it on our way back from Pismo Beach to the Bay Area. It was just as good, probably even better! I had a carnitas torta, which was delicious — tender flavorful pork, creamy queso fresco, and an amazing bun. Daughter got a breakfast sandwich with bacon and hash browns, and wife got the chicken breakfast plate, both good. We got a big basket of complimentary tortilla chips with homemade salsa to start with. Lots of outdoor seating. Service is really friendly and cheerful. We’ll definitely stop by the next time we road trip down south!

A few months ago, my wife and I saw a large grill out front where they were grilling chicken. We stopped got the chicken crispy tacos and the carnitas in green sauce plate. Now, we don’t pass Malu’s without stopping for a bite to eat!

The quality of the ingredients and the sauce was superb. The cali burrito I bought alone was $15.77 after tax. Unfortunately the portion was small. You can tell they care about making good food but this is priced like a tourist shop. There are better options for such high spend.

Best breakfast burritos in town… Hands down! I am a little obsessed with them and the staff is always so friendly and helpful. They have a great menu & sometimes you’ll see the BBQ pit out and smell them BBQing tri tip & Chicken! They really know their stuff for breakfast night and dinner!

To the person that gave a 1 star review because the “hours were not correct” on line. BOOOOO. they are a NEW place. have some compassion before giving a 1 star review for something so petty. The food here is AMAZING. The breakfast burrito was 10/10. I really hope they do well in this location. More people need to know about this small local restaurant!
