My husband and I are not drinkers but we were tempted to stop by after reading the food reviews. I’m glad we did! The whole place was unique and had a cozy feel. The staff were very friendly and did not make us feel out of place since we did not drink. The shrimp and avocado dip was delicious!! The food was different and enlightened our taste buds. We loved the grilled smoke flavors that accented each dish. The atmosphere was very relaxed and laid back.

Sometimes these reviews feel like homework or some thing that I am obligated to do after a ho-hum meal. There is no way for me to share in a few words just how much the team at little trouble made my 44th birthday an experience I will never forget. The crew there did not feel like they were just going through the motions, you could sense true passion from the moment we walked in to a beautiful bright smile from our hostess until the very end of the evening when the chef came out to introduce himself and ask for feedback. I am truly gracious for everyone at that restaurant who contributes to high quality service, impeccably cooked dishes, and a sensation that you are somewhere far far far from here

Hear ye, hear ye, i deem this one of the top restaurants in central Texas. Such a beautiful restaurant and interesting space. The food and service were unbeatable. That pork chop was the best we’ve ever tried.

A mysterious set of steps lead down to Little Trouble in what seems at first a hole in the wall bar. Nothing could be further from the truth. The small dining area and modest bar hide a fabulous eating and drinking experience. It’s a small menu, but everyone in our party of nine found a wonderful selection of eclectic drinks and exceptional dishes. The service was friendly and attentive. My ribeye was one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. The chicken dish was like nothing you’ve ever seen, served with peanut cole slaw, lightly marinated cucumber slices, 2 sauces, and the lightest, crispy, thin tortilla chips ever. Try any of the specialty drinks! A great experience overall.

A wonderfully warm and welcoming eatery, where the lowly lit ambiance matches the menu perfectly. Great drinks, warm and satisfying food, and impeccable service. A true gem @down under”.

I’ve been wanting to come to this place for awhile but hadn’t had a reason to trip down from Austin. I finally bucked up and took the toll road (I hate toll roads) over and WOW am I glad I did. First of all, the space was all decked out for the holiday and was very inviting and cozy, but without feeling like covid-central. I had the special for the evening, which was pork shoulder on greens and broccoli with a garlic cream sauce, and I’m pretty sure it was in the top 3 things I’ve ever eaten. I had a couple glasses of their Cabernet as well, and the bill was a very reasonable $48 for myself. Add the fact that you don’t have to pay for parking in Lockhart (not shocking, but a welcome difference from Austin), and I am so glad I made the surprisingly short drive over. Small menu, but I’d be shocked if you couldn’t find something amazing. I’m now trying to talk all my friends into going for their fixed menu NYE meal. 10/10 – you should absolutely check this place out!
