I have to give a bad review for a few reasons. One it is priced fairly high. There are more reasonably priced areas in Manti that provide better service and have more space. The Rose Cottage is one and I regret not having our reception there. Catering was expensive and they don’t like you to bring in your own food. Once you pay the deposit you’re forced to pay a ton of other fees for basic services. During the reception one of Mrs. Hall’s cookie jars was broken by a guest. The guest offered to pay for it, but she insisted that it was okay. Later I noticed a charge on my card for $53 dollars. She said it was for the cookie jar that was broken. When I looked online I found the best name brand jar that was exactly the same for about $15. The money wasn’t what bothered me most even though I am young and a newly wed student trying to get by. What bothered me most was the fact that she knowing that it was dishonest went ahead and charged us anyway after we told her we would replace it. It seemed if she wanted to do something to get back at us for wanting the wedding done a certain way. She was rude to my new wife and actually hung up on her when my wife told her she found the jar cheaper online. As a whole she was immature about the situation from the beginning. Communicating with her was nearly impossible throughout the planning stages. I was reminded of how high school girls act while working with her. I will admit that while it was a little crowded it was a nice setting and it is easy for people to find, but like I said there are better places in the Manti area. I wouldn’t recommend it, but if you do use Liberty Hall work through her husband if possible. He is a good, more respected, and hard working man from what I have learned after growing up in the area. Should you run into issues he would be easier and more reasonable to work with. When they say it’s close to the temple it isn’t saying much. Everything in Manti is “close” to the temple.… more
