My grandmother loves the vanilla custard alone. We gotten her the croissants stuffed with the vanilla custard but breaking the croissant apart can get messy with her arthritis because she tries to break the croissant just to only eat the vanilla custard. Also, because she’s older her teeth cannot handle biting into things which is why she prefers the custard and other soft foods. I went in asking for the stuffed croissant. Their stuffed croissant they stuff at the moment you order them so it’s fresh. So instead of then stuffing it at the moment when I ordered, I wanted to see if they can give me the vanilla custard in a cup and the croissant separate for the easy of my grandmother. I was obviously going to pay full price for the stuffed croissant, the only difference is they wouldn’t have to stuff it. Well one of the owners said no because his husband (the pastry chef) was particular in selling it like that separately. I kept expressing to them why I wanted it like this and I was even willing to pay for any variety of coffee cup size they had there so they can put the custard in that cup separately because my grandmother can only eat the soft custard. He still said no. Either way I bought pastries for my family. But my grandmother couldn’t get to enjoy her stuff croissant because some of custard was absorb by the croissant. I honestly do not see the difference or harm of putting the custard in a separate cup so that someone can enjoy it differently from the expected especially due to their condition that limits them from eating it how many may perceive it should be eaten.

After moving from Cleveland, Ohio, with an Italian market and bakery on every corner, we could not find ANYTHING around here. LaSicilia is AMAZING! Everything is fresh, beautiful, and delicious. Thank God we found this place. We almost had to move back to Ohio.

I don’t often write reviews, but felt that this place deserves it. Not only is their customer service great – and quick to help me pick my goodies, their products (I got quite a few to try) are really good and tasty. I’ll definitely be going back!!!!
