Waited over an hour for an online order placed 30 minutes before I arrived at store. Only about 3 people walked in to order subs so it wasn’t very busy. Store looked messy, and staff didn’t acknowledge any of us who had online orders. Some of which were playing basketball with the sub rolls. On top of all that the bread on my subs were old, hard, and stale. Wrong/missing ingredients on the subs, and the ingredients which were on the subs just tasted old and expired. 70 dollars down the drain.

Jersey Mike’s subs should be open in Newport News, VA. The hot sandwiches are pretty good. My favorite is the big Kahuna. The prices are high for a steak sandwich. My review is based on my experience on Sunday, August 13. I called more than 10 times to place my order over the phone and have it ready on my arrival. Nobody answers me. I got to the place to find out that they turned off the phone because they didn’t have enough personnel. The service was good, taking into consideration that they were short on personnel. The bathroom needs to be clean.

I love Jersey Mike’s, so I’m not surprised the sub was fresh and delicious. It was the service that blew me away. When I walked in, there was one young man up front. He had five or six subs open faced on the counter and was moving lightening fast, yet making the sandwiches with great precision. Even more impressive was the courtesy with which he spoke to customers. Though he was slammed, he spoke with kindness and was extremely helpful. I think his name was Shahin. JM’s is lucky to have him!

Save your time, gas , and money. I spent almost $40 bucks on subs that the bread was so hard it was beyond ridiculous. Honestly there is no way the person making this sandwich could not miss this. It’s almost as though the bread was left out for a couple days. Never again.

They need older people working in here because these young people are rude. This place discriminates against to go and delivery orders/people. They used to be on my do not go to list years ago but today oh my gosh I waited for an order for 30 minutes and told them twice lthe order I was trying to pick up and even after 30 minutes they still didn’t start on the order and got an attitude when I asked what was going on. They also completely ignored me when I was trying to show the pickup time and that they lied to me and said they was making the order 20 minutes ago. They won’t be on the grubhub platform too much longer. Drivers, please keep reporting them. I also had my own to go order not too long ago and they called my last name so I didn’t realize my order was ready and when I said something about it, they just looked at me crazy.
